Agree, which is why I think the whole rating system stuff is crap.

BS, Farrell said he had a big jump coming for him and that was at the time he visited LaTech.

Kevin's 4 star status hooked LSU up with 15 points. We are now sitting at 2675 and only 9 points behind Ohio state, but its unlikely we jump then since we are pretty much full and they only have 22 commits.

His film is still mediocre.

So...can we say Rivals has LSU bias since it has Bama bias too? Trying to get back those coveted LSU subs?

False. He shows great burst and great hands, and we all know it's only his second year playing the game.

No, we can't, because his film is NOT mediocre.

Yes we can. Why is it that Rivals has Bama bias but not LSU bias? One set of rules applies to a specific group but not the other? Double standards much? He wouldn't get that bump if he committed to LA Tech. I'll put money on it. Just saying.

how is florida # 1 and LSU #4 on rivals. Both have 26 commits & 2 5* but LSU has 16 4*'s to florida's 14 and lsu has only 8 3*'s compared to Florida's 10. I guess their 4*'s are rated a bit higher.

Yep and it depends on position. Certain positions get more points than others.

gradman just said Farell said he was getting bumped even before he committed to LSU.

If you dont think rivals and every other scouting service takes into account what offers guys have when evaulating and grading them, you are crazy.

He looks the opposite on film to me. Where does he show burst? He looks slow to me. Great hands? I'll give you that but he's not fast or explosive at all. He rarely leaves DBs and it takes him awhile to accelerate to his gears. Looks like a pure possession WR to me. Not that anything is wrong with that. I just don't find anything overly impressive on his film other than his possession ability. He kinda reminds me of Baker's film. But hell, if he can run routes and catch the ball, good enough for me. We desperately need consistent hands on the team.

Yes, and that's the point I'm making. This forum has double standards.

Off the line...which is great, because it'll help him to not get stuffed and pushed off his routes.

Great hands?

Not that I expect his highlight film to show him dropping balls, but he goes over the top of his defender numerous times and comes down with it...those are the toughest that a tall WR has to make routinely (not diving with one hand, like Landry).

I'm not exactly blown away like I was when I saw Courtney Gardner's film, but I'm sure impressed with his measurables and the brief highlights that I've seen, considering he just picked up the game.

His speed is not sec caliber. Not sure what everyone else is looking at.

Watch his highlights again and tell me if you see the speed required to get seperation in the sec.

Rival LSU bias is getting sickening. lol

Speed for a WR is over-rated.

As long as you have one WR on the field that can provide that threat of speed for the deep ball, the rest don't need a whole lot of speed

Jesus, you don't need elite speed to get separation as a WR.
