Officially announced as expected
I hope they go with a darker style and not the cartoon style. If this game delivers I may get a wii u in a couple of years.

Twilight Princess is shite on on this board, but honestly I liked it better than Skyward Sword by a lot.

I hope they return to that darker theme too.

...of course I also liked TP more because you could explore everything. Skyward Sword's world felt very... small.

TP was a fun game to play. It got annoying at times, but it was still a good zelda game.

The dark theme fits zelda well. Id like to see it go darker than ever before.

TP was a good one. I wasn't a big fan of motion controls. They can be fun but over the long haul I just wasn't interested.

Skyward sword was a great origin story that was a ton of fun. But like Ross said it seemed very linear.

Ocarina, Majora's, and twilight princess had so many other things to do.

I liked wind waker but only played it once so I can't really recall tons of side quests.

Majora's mask had some of the greatest side quests trying to make people happy in 3 days. One screw up would set you back far.

I thought some of the better zelda games were on handheld too. Oracle of season and its pair were both good games.

Screw that, one screw up would totally frick you over and you'd have to restart the quest in some cases

Why I'm glad I kept my GC.

I can take the lighter Zelda and the darker, more serious ones. For me, it keeps the series fresh.

I will definitely be purchasing a WiiU just for this game.... Just like I did my Wii for SS.

I'd like to see a more adult Zelda myself.

Skyward sword was great but I'm hoping for a more classic approach. However, Nintendo knows what I want better than I do when it comes to this series

Was surprised it took so long to get a post about the Nintendo event. A ton of stuff was shown and announced.

I loved TP but I bought it on the Gamecube just because I hate the Wii motion controls.

TP wasn't really optimized for Wii controls. It was just kindof tacked on. Skyward sword was designed for the motion controller.

Twilight Princess is top 3 for me (it MM and OoT all rotate as 1a, 1b, and 1c).

Small and disconnected. All you could do was land somewhere. If you wanted to go somewhere else you had to fly up and drop into another place. I hated it for the same reason. I enjoyed the vastness of Twilight Princess and felt like it paid homage to OoT (big, open Hyrule, Epona, Zora's Domain gets frozen, etc).

Unfairly so. Is an ocarina remake so bad?
