Fight for the last spot in the semifinals.

Rules:
A. Vote for one (1) brewery
B. There will be 24-36 hours of voting this round.
C. Losers are eliminated for good this round.

Again, vote for only 1

Playoff for #4 Spot
NOLA
Ommegang
St Arnold

7-35 have been eliminated. The groups of four allow for more freedom and less complaining about bad draws.

NOLA

I hate Belgians so it was between St Arnold and Nola for me. I'd take the regular lineup of nola over st arnold. Ill take Nola's rotating seasonals over st Arnold's seasonals/special releases by a hair. With The addition of their barrel aging program just starting (on top of DR, Pumpkinator, and Endeavor), st arnold may overcome nola for me in the next year or two if nola doesn't start pushing it.

But I love flambeau red, Irish channel stout an hurricane Saison.

NOLA.

I think St. Arnold has some good seasonal brews but the standard lineup doesn't do much for me. Ommegang might be objectively better but I'm early in my delve into the Belgian styles.

(i think i missed a round or two... )

That's a tough call... initially I was thinking I'd take NOLA over any beer in the other half of Round 4, but I'm not so sure anymore. I love the Hopitoulas, Mechahopzilla, Irish Channel Stout and a few others, but Saint Arnold has some winners in the Bishop's Barrel, Endeavour, Pumpkinator, and Divine Reserve series.

Ommegang is good as well, but I rarely seem to purchase them.

Strictly voting with the wallet again I have to give a slight edge to NOLA now that they have Hopitoulas in cans. Very slight. If this tourney had happened before they started canning that one I'd have gone the other way.

Endeavour, Pumpkinator, and Bishop's Barrel #1 are all better than anything I've tried from NOLA, IMO.

And I'd say Elissa and Hopitoulas are about even.

This is tough....

I could put down any of the three and wouldn't matter to me.

As much as I hate to do it...and as much as I enjoy the other two beers I think I'll have to go with St. Arnold based on their few big beers. Endeavor Bishops Barrel Pumpkinator and Divine Reserve stuff give them the edge this year.

St. Arnold

my problem isn't with their seasonal/specialty stuff. i just find their standard lineup pretty forgettable. i seek out NOLA's stuff on a regular basis. i have access to the whole st. arnold's year-around lineup but never find myself tempted to buy it.

Endeavour

Endeavour is just very inconsistent. the good bottles are very good but i've had some pretty bad bottles.

i didn't like Elissa at all. pretty uninteresting/boring IPA. And while hopitoulas isn't the best IPA i've had by any stretch, i definitely enjoyed it.

Oh, I completely agree.

I don't touch any of their regular lineup while I'm constantly getting Hopitoulas/Irish Channel in bars.

I'm kind of a pain in the arse though about that because I prefer more of a specialty beer than everyday beers most of the time.

Yep. I could put down any of the 3 and be happy.

I guess I will eliminate Ommegang since they are one dimensional, but they don't make a single beer I dislike.

So that means it comes down to NOLA and Saint Arnold. Tough call. Saint Arnold Endeavour beats Mechahopzilla. As much as I like NOLA's Irish Channel Stout, I like Pumpkinator and Bishop's Barrel more. On the other hand, NOLA Brown is an extremely underrated beer, one that I don't drink often enough. Hopitoulas is a go to IPA. Hurricane Saison is a nice summer beer. I'd put Saint Arnold Oktoberfest and NOLA Smoky Mary on the same level. The Saint Arnold regular brews do nothing for me though. So Saint Arnold is top heavy with a lot of other mediocre beers, and NOLA is more consistent but with no real beers that make you go WOW!

I'll flip a coin and say NOLA here.

Ommegang

They found a niche and they do it very well. Their regular line-up is far better than St. Arnold and Nola, and that's not taking anything away from St. Arnolds and Nola. Ommegang's seasonal and specialty brews are fantastic.

Let's also not forget they are going to be brewing the Game of Thrones beers.

Finally, how can you vote against a brewery that looks like this?
