Prayers Requested

Rant,

I have been on here for a few years and have posted many times. However, I come to you tonight asking for your thoughts and prayers for my Paw Paw (grandfather) who is in the E.R. right now in New Orleans, LA, after suffering from toxix shock syndrome and blood poisoning.

Besides me, he is the biggest LSU fan I know. He went to LSU for two years (1947-48) before moving to West Point, NY, to serve in the U.S. Military Academy and fighting in the Korean War. He tells me his first experience in Tiger Stadium was the season opener in 1947 when LSU came from behind to beat Rice, who was a power then, 21-14, behind a touchdown run by LSU legend Y.A. Tittle. He went to most every LSU home game from time on and still owns his ticket stubs of the Halloween Run and other memorable game. Our first game together was when LSU beat Tennessee in 2000 in OT. That was a great memory. Our last game together was the LSU-Arkansas game of the 2003 season. He has not gone to a game since due to other reasons.

So, our family asks for your prayers this evening in your busy schedules, just to take a moment to think of another LSU man through and through, Alton Arcement.
