Taste great. But of the three bottles I've opened, 2 were not carbonated much and 1 was over carbed.

We should get together for a FBD gathering soon. ROUGE is moving to Houston in March I think. You live up by Lake Lavon, right?

Have you seen RU-55 in stores yet? It's supposed to hit Houston in the next 2-3 days.

I actually you'd that beer. Very very strong flavors that didn't go over well with me. Tried and tried to get passed them but it ended down the drain.
yes, the wood taste is strong and not necessarily a good one. Wasn't too bad but I won't be seeking out another.

I ended up pouring te last 2-3 ounces down the drain BC there was so much shite in it that I lost my appetite for it.

What is the story here? Lovely SO is serving a homebrew at the party?

Yes she is. Same type party they had last year with the legislators that helped get the ABV limit increased. Same idea but homebrew being served this year to try to get homebrewing legalized there.

Apparently Gary Glass likes the beer too. Or likes looking at the SO...

Ah yes, glad I wasn't the only one. We tried drinking that one and another big barrel aged barleywine from them and both of them ended up not getting finished.

there was no hop presence but still not an unbalanced malt to it. It was interesting but I think I may prefer te I barrel aged more if I try it.

Parishes Barleywine tasted like a bigfoot compared to this.

Yes, the JW lees was extremely sweet and thick and heavy overly strong wood flavors. Can't imagine that there's that many people can really get behind that beer.
