I'm going to upgrade to the fx8350 shortly. It's not Too far behind the 3770k and you can catch it on sale pretty often for around 180. It's 200 normal price

Gaming wise, doesn't the 3570k outperform the 8350?

I didn't say anything about efficiency. I'm talking from a gaming stand point

I'm just messing though. Love AMD APUs, not really for gaming but the whole concept.

They aren't close at all per toms hardware, and thats pretty much my go to source for these types of things

Pretty in depth comparison

I just ran across this. Really good breakdown as always by Toms.

All I'm saying is that if you already have an am3+ mobo then it wouldn't make sense to spend $250 more dollars more just to switch to intel.

yeah that part is true. but you also should remember you need to pair FX processors with Nvidia cards, not Radeon's.

Nvidia's rely less on the cpu so you can avoid bottleneck that way

oh yeah, the nvidia part isn't a problem for me but thanks for the heads up. I read that article, it was pretty interesting.

Overall what is better? Nvidia or Radeon? Or does it just depend?

Nvidia has the higher end cards (the 680 and 690) but radeon will be the best card for the money at nearly every price point under that

Idk if I agree. Depends what setup u run. I wouldn't pair my 690 with a fx chip. Dual gpus would probably be bottled necked by it.

yeah but who would have a 690 and an AMD board? if you spent the cash on a 690 you certianly spent the cash on a 1155 or 2011 board

we are talking sub $1200 builds here at this point i think

shite, I was think sub $700.

I just try to find the best bang for the buck while making sure every cent is spent in the best way. It really only pretains to the low end/entry level build catagory because that's where I'm at right now.
