Potential Starting XI for AMERICA friendly against Canuckistan SSR

This is what Ives thinks Klinsmann will opt for.
I actually quite like that lineup, but would replace Juan Agudelo for a true winger in Josh Gatt and Edson Buddle with the more versatile Chris Wondolowski. Obviously Beckerman isn't ideal, but in the hole against a bad team Canada he'll have greater protection. Brad Evans is really the only other player on the roster available in that position. Even then, Evans plays more of a classic center mid role for the Sounders with Ozzie Alonso providing the cover.
Agudelo can come on as a sub, a role in which he's performed much better for the national team. Will Bruin and Brad Davis will probably feature at some point in front of their hometown fans.
Roster:
GOALKEEPERS: Tally Hall (Houston Dynamo), Bill Hamid (D.C. United), Sean Johnson (Chicago Fire)
DEFENDERS: Steven Beitashour (San Jose Earthquakes), Tony Beltran (Real Salt Lake), Matt Besler (Sporting Kansas City), A.J. DeLaGarza (LA Galaxy), Omar Gonzalez (LA Galaxy), Connor Lade (New York Red Bulls), Alfredo Morales (Hertha Berlin), Justin Morrow (San Jose Earthquakes), Jeff Parke (Philadelphia Union)
MIDFIELDERS: Kyle Beckerman (Real Salt Lake), Alejandro Bedoya (out of contract), Brad Davis (Houston Dynamo), Mix Diskerud (Rosenborg), Brad Evans (Seattle Sounders), Benny Feilhaber (Sporting Kansas City), Joshua Gatt (Molde), Graham Zusi (Sporting Kansas City)
FORWARDS: Juan Agudelo (Chivas USA), Will Bruin (Houston Dynamo), Edson Buddle (Colorado Rapids), Eddie Johnson (Seattle Sounders), Chris Wondolowski (San Jose Earthquakes)

Apparently will bruin has really impressed this camp

Fixed
I'm not huge on USMNT, because we should only have to note the women's team with an extra initial.

I want Gatt on the field. Everything else is okay. I'm not sure why Buddle starts over Wondo, but whatever. I'm really excited to see Mix starting, and I think he and Zusi could be a great partnership going forward and controlling tempo.

That was my first reaction to the proposed lineup. I think it will be fun watching those two together.

I'm excited to see what some of these young defenders can do out there

per ussoccer's twitter account, Buddle and Beitashour are out for the remainder of the camp. I assume Buddle's absence ensures Wondolowski starts the game. Not sure what affect, if any, Beitsahour being out will have on the line up.
LINK
If I was tasked with putting our starting 11 together, it would most likely be...
---- Wondolowski ---- Eddie Johnson--------
Zusi ---- Davis ----- Beckerman ------ Gatt
then just give me the same back line as Ives.

Flat 4-4-2?
we've seen Klinnsman run the 4-4-2 and the 4-5-1, so it really wouldn't surprise me.
if we stick with the 4-5-1, give me the same players and ask Wondolowski to play the CAM role.

If we were to play a 4-4-2, I'd rather have a "target" forward as the 1.
Wondolowski would be more likely to roam, like Fernando Torres, and you end up with a hole up top.
Given Wondo's track record with the national team, Wondo would probably finish like Torres, too.

I doubt we see a flat 4-4-2 or a true 4-5-1. It'll be announced as a 4-3-3 or a 4-2-3-1, as that fits with Klinsmann's general "master plan."
We've already seen GAM out wide during the last qualifiers, and he's publicly stated he's fine at that position. I think Agudelo shifted wide during the Russia friendly after Terrence Boyd came on. He also played as a winger fairly effectively in the horrible Olympic qualifying campaign.
Zusi played as an attacking wide midfielder for Peter Vermes' 4-3-3 at SKC last season and with the national team, but initially started his MLS career as a true center mid.
ETA: Beitashour being out basically ensures that Alfredo Morales starts and plays the majority of the game.

USA beat Xolos Tijuana (probably reserves) in a closed doors friendly just now. Two goals for Will Bruin and one for Jeff Parke.
