I never payed much attention to them the first time I played it but I started a new play through of it last night and it hit me how crappy some of the graphics are.

Some of the textures are just bad.

Am I the only one to think this?

Still a great game though.

That's been the thing with Fallout 3 and NV; great games, so-so graphics, and glitchy as hell.

Yea they are glitchy but I was amazed at how I never noticed the textures before.

Not sure if it's because my first play through was on xbox and now I am doing it on PC but some parts it was just distracting.

The movement is not at all fluid either.

Maybe I'm just used to it, but it looks good enough for me, especially on PC. Movement is pretty strange, though. Sometimes reminds me of Madden.

The NMC mod I linked is probably the biggest and best of the texture mods. It's something like 6 or 7 gigs unzipped for the biggest textures.

I noticed that a while back when I started a new game. I downloaded one of the re-texture packs off the nexus and that helped a good deal.

Bothered me to no end.

I didn't have a problem with it, especially for the type of game it was. With the right mods Fallout 3 still leaves one of the strongest, "I feel like I've actually been there" vibes of any game I've played. The Capital Wasteland felt like a real place.

Wish they would have been a little more creative with their subway and cave layouts. Seen one, you've seen them all.

Mods bro mods.

They do hit close to a 2gb VRAM cap though. Idk how much VRAM you have. I know you are running a 560 so probably 1.5 or 2.

Yeah, but mods helped with that. My favorite area was always downtown. Cool historical ruins, super mutants, and Black Talon mercs.

The engine was good at the time, but was still laden with glitches. Everyone having ripped bodies with different heads is kind of amusing though.

Oh yeah forgot.

You were bitching about AMD drivers, and rightfully so. Lol
