Toledo Bend on MLK

Tough day, and to make things even better, get to the launch, none of my electronics are working, and the fog is locked in, visibility down to around 30 ft.
Frick it, drove all the way here, not going to let this stop me. Launch the boat, drop the trolling motor, within first 5 mins, I already have my first keeper (red rat-L-trap.) After about an hour or so, the fog has lifted a little, so I make my way to some deep docks for a little flipping. Caught a couple unders, weightless senko, and shaky head. Fog completely lifted by 9ish, so I make a short run out to the main lake. Start ripping a trap again, catch a couple more good ones, and a few more unders. Move out to a main lake hump I usually do well on, spend 30 mins trying to find the damn thing with a crank bait, finally find it, and throw out a buoy. Start throwing the boat at it, nothing... well why not try out my OB new year resolution, and try a new technique, drop shot. Takes me a little while to get the hang of it, but I'm feeling confident with a couple hours to go. Start making circles around the hump, gradually fishing deeper, and start catching. Quit fishing at 4:00 and made my way home. Ended up with 8 keepers, and caught around 15.
I got tired of always having to haul my ice chest around for beer so I built one to install under my seat, it was the maiden voyage, and I must say I did pretty damn good. No leaks, and I still had plenty of ice at the end of the day, no beer left though.
TL:DR, CSB, IDGAF.

Damn. That's where I'm forced to fish most of the time. I really need to start learning those creeks. The La. side down there sucks donkeys.

Not good. Nothing biting up there. All the half-way decent reports I'm hearing start at pendelton and head south. Houssen (sp?) has been producing well.

The fog was the ghost of MLK telling you to get to DC for Barack and Michelle's festivities.
