Trying too hard, he isn't the one who noticed something was awry with the property maps.

So Joe can knock a guy down at the beginning of the episode while dragging Claire into the house but now his wound wont let him screw a corkscrew into a wine bottle?

The pain has gotten worse, he's hammered and has been taking pain meds all day...

quote:

Ok now she has the knife, time for Joe to die. Nope. She cuts the ropes off the couple. Now she goes to Joe and.......She kicked him. Kicked him in the stomach and ran. I give up.

Her focus was clearly on trying to get these two out alive. What you should be asking is why that skinny bitch and Elvis can't hear all of this commotion after killing those two cops.

- Did Joe just lock Claire inside the boat from the outside? Is that possible?

You think people with a nice boat like that one don't lock their shite up when they dock?

quote:

- So part of their plan was to capture female FBI cult master lady. So how did they know she would be isolated? How did they get her out of the building, conscious, with SWAT and FBI everywhere? That can't be easy, can it?

I think it was to capture any FBI agents, they just got 'lucky' there.

You are really trying too hard to hate this show.

You guys are killing me.

And, sadly took all my talking points I was going to say.

Ok, here' one...
You're Jacob and you're sitting with Emma at the end, and its proven you can't trust her. You know she's a murderous psychopath. You know she's completely in love and loyal to Joe.
What do you do? You tell her you're leaving the cult and basically turning your back/betraying her and Joe.

Good call there Jacob. Never a death brought on by sheer stupidity more then this, ever. Congratulations.

Trolls gonna troll.

Besides, you don't get it. We all LOVE this show.
Except its not as a suspense drama, just as a comedy.

Exactly. I think I look forward to this show almost as much as GoT. Mostly, because of this thread.

if this is true, then I am striking 24 from my list of shows to watch

it's ok though. it was pretty far down the list

whoa

24 is much much better

Following is a poor man's 24, it loosely follows some of the same plot development techniques, but 24 executes them way better. Dont get me wrong, there's a few "WTF" moments every now and then, but not like Following, which has "no fricking way you're this incompetent" at least twice an episode.

I agree, I like The Following because, it's actually kinda funny, it's so over the top

is season 1 supposed to wrap up the joe carroll cult plot and then next season we are chasing another bad guy? I'm sure the plan is that they'll need to get Ryan Hardy to use Joe Carroll as a Hannibal Lector imprisoned expert to help catch the new bad guy.

I don't care how the season ends, I just want season 2 to start off reminding viewers who Joe Carroll is! They can never say it enough.

Yeah, this is the 2nd time she should have killed Joe

Aside from the terrible writing, this show is missing the boat big time in one regard....

They havent succeeded in making you care about a single fricking character.

Not even the little kid, how can I not feel bad for a kidnapped little boy, it's not like he's an arse, but I just feel nothing for him.

I'd say we're trying hard to like the show by finding humor in its flaws.

For your sake I hope you're trolling at this point. Emma and Elvis were already sent off by Joe I believe. And the serial killer ex husband you has stated that you will not live past this day is on the ground and you have a knife and your first option isnt to kill him? Yikes.

You think people with a nice boat like that one don't lock their shite up when they dock?

Are you the woman who called 911 because she was locked inside her car?

I think it was to capture any FBI agents, they just got 'lucky' there.

Again luckily sneaking her out of a building infested and surrounded by SWAT and federal agents. Luckiest damn cult ever.

And like the man above me said and we have said many times in here, this thread is what keeps us watching this show. And trying hard? They make this way too easy.

Whoa whoa whoa, negative ghost rider. This show has terrible writing and equally bad acting. The first 5 seasons of 24 were some of the best TV of all time. There's a reason it won 20 Emmy's over its time.

Yeah, this was the stupidest and most blatant case of giving the lead actor the ability to be all knowing and all doing...that I have ever witnessed.

i like how joe gets stabbed by clair (they do a good job of showing you how she twists the knife which should really wreck shite) so his wound should be attended to soon. but no its cool i have fresh bandages and alcohol. all is well.

the best part is, the lazy writing route would just be "it's cool, we have a dr in our cult" and that dr says "i can help as much as i can but you should really get to a hospital"
but instead they go with the "do you really care if there's a dr or not? why are we even trying?"

i want to live in this "following" world just so i can watch the national news shows in it every night.

edit: oh and also no i don't care about the characters. everyone who's seen shows before know it will end with joe and ryan dying and clair and joey living.
i was actually happy the grays got away. i felt happier they got away than i felt sad for the FBI lady.

One thing that threw me off with this episode was the chick who murdered the news reporter. She looked a lot like and acted just like the other crazy blonde cult chick from earlier in the season who was killing all the women named Claire Matthews. I kept thinking it was the same character.
