I still don't get what motivates the cult members. What did Joe promise them.

Other than a cool mixtape of sweet covers of 90's alt rock songs for them to act sexy and Edgy to for three minutes per week.

All good points posted already, but, I'll add mine:

At the end, you have a homocidal/suicidal maniac cult member come to you to talk. What do you do as an FBI agent? You pat them down, say, "Ok clean. Then turn your back on them and say "Let's go talk, follow us."
By all means DO NOT HANDCUFF THE SUSPECT.

Idiots. I never laughed so spontaneously and hard at a supposed 'drama' then that point last night.

And as mentioned before by etm, the 'backup' posse is 2 states away....again. Its such a regular thing, it almost doesn't register anymore. BUT...it was THEIR plan...they were following the car the whole time. What...in....the frick?

I can't believe Roderick was killed. I didn't see that coming.

1) Joe heals fast after a brutal stab wound.
2) Handcuffs are for pussy local cops. The FBI don't play that shite.
3) If you have a key figure in a serial killer cult at gun point, it is imperative that you let them slowly walk away. You can always catch them later in an unnecessary man hunt.
4) Being in a serial killer cult is not everyone. You have to like sitting around a big house with nothing to do.

This made me

What do they do all day? Watch slasher films? Play cards? Arts and crafts? Crochet?

at the end, when Jacob got away, and the 40 FBI cars showed up 10 minutes late
no one seem interested in going after the cult member who 10 seconds ago was 20 feet from Hardy

everyone just milled around

i think the producers are trolling us at this point

Oh and...no one bothered to follow the fresh footprints in the snow, that would lead right to the cult's hideout.

But dude, he escaped like 30 seconds ago.........on foot......how the hell you supposed to catch up with that kind of head start?

When Hardy saw Joey I was waiting for him to ask Joey which way Jacob went. Still waiting.

Finally, something bad may happen to the cult. The show is getting ridiculous with the constant failures by "the good guys". It has really been pissing me off. I am hanging on by a thread with this show.

Good point. But that would have made sense.

You...just need to calm down.

I'm just waiting for them to play 6 Underground by Sneaker Pumps. Why didn't anyone immediately help Joe after the stab wound? How the frick is he walking around chit chatting on a cell phone seconds after getting stabbed?

Yes! Was wondering when Ryan was going to kill someone this episode. Sure enough, he makes sure that if Weston's bullets didn't kill the crazy lady, his would.

Cult leaders gain special healing powers from their followers, but in order for the healing powers to be used one of the followers must die. Hence Jacob dying this episode.

Imagine that conversation:

Joe Carroll: ok...which of you random cult members that I haven't talked to since recruitment would like a part on my book?

Mousy brown haired chick: me!

Joe Carroll: ok here's the plan, act like you're going to turn yourself in, as soon as they let their guard down stab the black guy in the eye. They will kill you.

Mousy brown haired girl: wtf!?

Joe Carroll: it will be soooo worth it.

FIFY

Also it looks like next week they all leave the house and cause mayhem. If somehow the FBI doesnt know who each and every one of these people are at this point after having all the info from the training facility and with them being away from their jobs and families for what I would guess would be weeks now...........well I guess it would fall in line with the rest of the writing of the show.
