At least they've started getting away from the Edgar Allen Poe stuff mostly. They were overkilling it the first two episodes.

And not ONLY that...but they have 8 other possible vehicles that fit the description. And they don't send ANY one else to ANY of the other 8 locations.
And the 2 that do go, are by all accounts not the ones that would normally be assigned this work.
Ryan, who is a consultant only remember.
And the chick, who is a senior level agent in charge of people, not a John Wayne tactical armed response agent.

But, I do keep watching just to come on here and laugh about it with you guys. Some really very valid points brought up by posters above me that I didn't even mention.

I mean it's not like one of their own was just kidnapped by a serial killing cult or anything. Dont want to take 16 people away from what they are currently doing.

The new lead agent was brought in to make sure nothing else went wrong but so far all he's done is hoard information. Even if he's wanting to put Ryan on the bench shouldn't he be giving out orders to someone? Also, how is hacking into your bosses email just a "take the rest of the day off" level offense? At the very least he should be getting a demotion.

This really is a so bad you have to laugh show

Well I know one way to do that is to check the visitation records of the prison for anyone who ever visited Joe but obviously in this universe they cant do that or something. Or if they used fake ID check the security footage and get visuals on them. Maybe then someone would realize that Roderick is the fricking sheriff of a nearby town. It's not like he is off the grid like the rest of the cult.

That's just common sense, considering...the flashback showed Roderick visiting him in prison.

Excellent point.

You would think that would lead someone to pose a question to that sheriff, "Um why in the frick were you visiting a serial killer?"

I like the show, but it's crossing over into conspiracy theory territory. The cult members are freaking everywhere! It requires a major suspension of disbelief to swallow that Joe set up this ever-expanding web of followers while he was in prison, and was able to get some of the cultists in place years in advance of when he put his plan into action. Remember that Jacob and Paul were living next to Sarah for 3 years, and Emma has been Joey's nanny for quite some time. No doubt it will turn out that the cultists have infiltrated the FBI as well.

It creeped me out when that David dude told Ryan that "you don't find us, we find you."

Another question: I'm no doctor but it seems that Weston got stabbed in the same spot as the sacrificial lamb at the end. So how was his stab wound an instant death? Seems like he would have been bleeding out on the floor in a shitton of pain for a while

Not to mention that Weston was stabbed with what looked like a bigger buck knife, while the cult member was later stabbed with a switch blade. HELLO!

ETA: I also like the fact that while Bacon is in the building shooting up the place, his "back up" was outside walking aimlessly around rather than actually covering any possible exits. WOW!

Fantastic stuff. Apparently satellite phones are cryptonite to the FBI. Army cult guy must have taught someone everything he knew before being offed. And what was the explanation for how they knew where she was? They determined where one single phone call was placed? Really? Was that the only phone call made that day?

And should we discuss that while the FBI is apparently camped out outside of Jacob's house, both of his parents are allowed to leave to go to what I assume is their vacation home. Guess the FBI didnt find it pertinent to a) check to see if they owned other properties that he might use or b) you know, follow them or something.

The opening scene shoutout of sorts to a bitching fanbase was glorious.
"How did Joe Cole escpape in a helicopter in broad daylight?"
"They had a really good plan, sir."
Great explanation.

At least they finally acknowledged checking the visitor logs 6 weeks too late. And Joe can encrypt his internet usage from inside the prison apparently. WIN

And who else loved the nailgun on a construction site that could just fire without the safety being depressed? But let's back up - you have a small crowd in a contained area that can be easily managed and you are trying to find a potential victim and a serial killer in the crowd. What do you do?
A) Just bumblefrick your way through the crowd and noise and hope that you stumble upon them so Kevin Bacon can end up one on one with a killer again?
B) Set up a perimeter, shut down the party and search every single person on site?

Roderick is apparently super smart and capable of cracking code stuff like that. At the stand off at the house a few weeks back, Roderick was sending Emma and the two dudes encrypted e-mails.
