Hypothetically, would you like this LED flooring in the PMAC?

It can be any color you want, has sensors that detect when the ball or player goes out of bounds, and its supposed to feel just like a hardwood floor when you play on it.

You can change the boundary lines from basketball to volleyball, to women's bball, to whatever with a flip of a switch.

Cool? Or ugly as sin and will never catch on in the sporting world?

Pretty cool for a rec gym but I can't imagine this catching on in college and NBA arenas.

Kentucky already has this, they show it on ESPN all the time. Looks really nice, great recruiting tool!

I can't remember what game I was watching this week or weekend, but it was a smaller college so every team uses that one court, so it was just cluttered with men's, women and volleyball lines. That looks worse than this.

The only problem is they would have to get it to work on wood because that court looks hideous. I don't mind the LED lighting, but that court material looks cheap though. Also, I wonder how it would work with the lighting in basketball arenas

No. But it would be cool at some high schools etc with the million lines all over the place...

I don't think it'd catch on with NCAA or NBA on its own, but it does have some nice benefits to it.

I had read somewhere there was a company developing a type of field turf with fiberoptic lighting mixed in with the turf to project different field lines similar to that court.

It could swap from football to soccer in seconds.

I was also able to show advertising durring timeouts, stats...etc...

I think when the technology gets better and looks like a real court or field nba, NFL, and college would look into it for advertising reasons and wow factor.

Kinda like those digital billboards that rotate thru ads I could all these leagues doing the same thing but on the field of play during breaks, between quarters, etc.

I think Jerry jones would jump all over to increase ad revenue. He charge a butt load per ad and just cycle thru them.

Tiger stadium would also look kinda cool with a glowing tiger eye in the middle (blasphemy)

Really smart idea and pretty cool but I think it would take a long time before that would ever catch on.
