I thought it was special training.

Bad drinking accident. She just don't learn from her mistakes. She gives a great nub job though.

I think it's "tactical training" as mentioned above. IIRC though, no ever really defined what would constitute "tactical training."

This is what I was told. I was also told that you cannot drink anything and carry, but that could have been the instructor just saying that so people would leave it at home to avoid the chances.

My CC test was easier than the Hunters Safety test. Shooting was a breeze too. I could've hit that target with my eyes closed at each distance.

I asked my dad if the test was hard before I took it, and his answer was,"Well, your stepmom passed it".

I'm not sure if this is clearly stated in LA law. I do know your BAC needs to be 0.05 or below, so one beer probably wouldn't kill you.

From a purely legal standpoint, one may well be ok w/ one beer and a BAC that is acceptable. OTOH, if there's an unfortunate outcome and the shooter ends up in a legal proceding of some sort, the fact that there was alcohol involved is going to be an additional issue to have to defend. There are some would say I'd adverse to lawsuits.........and I am.

I know this to be true. But I am unsure if you can drink said beer while carrying or you must drink the beer then strap on the judge.

Tiger you've got some good points. And anyone not familiar with the 0.05 BAC law will pounce, regardless.

Well if the rule only applies to judges, I believe I'm in the clear!

Very good point. One that lots overlook. I have had both of my knees rebuilt and am still rehabbing both of them. It is rare but on occasion I take one of the pain pills that I am prescribed. When I take one, I never carry for at least 24 hours.

I try to drive heavy equipment as much as possible when I take them. Sort of like my own physical challenge.

I wouldn't ever drink and carry. That split second of target acquisition and seeing what is behind your target is where it gets me. I wouldn't be able to safely shoot after more than one beer. I wouldn't trust myself to safely shoot after more than one beer. Driving equipment in the other hand......

Oh yeah, I had a breathalyzer for 5yrs and know my exact limits for BAC. 3 beers or one small drink in an hour and I was over the limit. I am 5'11 and 185lbs

Shoot and heavy equipment are two completely different things. I have never shot guns while drinking. Besides hunting and shooting .22s, of course.

Now who the hell can prep their rye grass plots without drinking a cold one? Furthermore, we bushhog our pipeline several times a year. Those miles add up and so do the cans.
