Stan Musials death and baseball cards...

The death of Stan Musial got me to thinking about my baseball card collection. Does anyone on this board have any knowledge or how to value baseball cards?
I have 2 unopened boxes of Donruss 1991 cards Series 1 and 2. I also have 2 unopened boxes of Donruss 1992 series 2. Any idea if they are worth anything?
I also have a Cardinal team baseball with Musial's autograph but I cannot find it.

Baseball cards were printed in such huge quantities beginning around the mid to late 80s that they have no significant value. You probably have $30 worth of cards.

Your donruss packs are worth around $0.75 if the box is in great shape. If there is a dent or two on the box it probably drops to around $0.45.

The late 80s and early 90s the cards aren't worth much because they made so many of them during that time. That was the hottest period of card collecting

I was afraid they worth nothing.....oh well......but I am still going to hold on them.

I am one of those old farts who had, emphasis on had, a Bill Gates fortune of cards from the '50s & '60s in shoe boxes. I had cards that were probably worth a thousand or more today pinned to my bicycle spokes.

This is why I told my brother to hoard those frickers. If everyone else thinks they are worthless, they will start throwing them away. In about 200 years, his collection will be worth something.

If all kids back then had saved their cards instead of putting them on bicycle spokes, they would not be worth nearly as much today.

Collecting cards in general are not worth what they once were, with eBay and the Internet. Before you had to luck out and happen upon cards by being in the right place, now they are anywhere you want them to be at the click of a button, so ease of getting them and the volume available is enormous.

What about these Mcfarlane figures. I've only got the Joe Addai one. Unopened purple jersey and individually numbered (limited to only 500 made in that jersey color). 3 on ebay ranging from $75 to $107. The Addai figure with the white jersey was mass produced.

I have about 4000 cards mostly from late 80s early 90s. I was disappointed when I found out they weren't worth much. But I think most of them are worth between $.20-.50 apiece.

I do have a cal Ripken jr rookie card. I'm sure that is at least worth $3

so many rookie cards...so many sets...2 plastic containers filled with books of the shite...probably worth 10 bucks all together

Man I missed the days of hanging out at the card shop, buying packs and making trades with friends. That was one of the best parts of my childhood. Too bad my son will never get to experience that.
Nowadays, you're better off trying to collect just your favorite team or favorite players. It's not worth buying packs and pulling out a lot of stuff you don't want trying to find one card you want. That used to be half the fun back in the day though.

I probably have 10,000 cards sitting in my basement that haven't been opened since I was 12 years old. I bought an entire rubbermaid tub full of them at a garage sale from a lady whose son went to college.
I heard through the grapevine that he got pissed when he came back and they tried to find me to buy them back. They never did, but I wouldn't have given them back anyway.
