Dot get me wrong I love the guy and think he's a great coach. He's done great here and gret at ND, but does he have some stellar high school or small college record? It doesn't seem like his accomplishments here and at ND are HoF worthy yet

Yep. How any LSU fan can call us the best fan base is crazy. I've lived in 3 diff states and no fan base eats their own like LSU. Period.

Not to take away from PM's award..
How is Ray Tanner and Augie Garrido not in this list if PM is?
Tanner has a 1133-489-3 record(.699) as a coach with 2 National Titles(2010 and 2011) and National Coach of the Year 3 times(2000, 2010, and 2011.)
Garrido is 1817-825-8 as a Head Coach. With 5 National Championships(1979, 1984, 1995, 2002, and 2005).
Maineri is 1086-594-5 (.646). With 1 National Title(2009). And has a few different Coach of the Year awards, most notably in 2009.
Not saying he doesn't deserve to be there.. but how are these 2 not?
