The rant really needs to come up with another abbreviation for Jones aside from JJ. I don't think anyone can handle Jordan Jefferson flashbacks

So far this team has taken 10 years off my life. Otherwise I may have to be here till I am 100.

He was a great hire. He doesn't have the players to run his system correctly. Anyone who didn't expect a bad season this year was dreaming
Nobody has responded to this yet? Oh my

How successful can you really be when fans care more about the fricking baseball program?

I played baseball for LSU right before we got Skip. Mac was getting canned, Brown was putting up some pretty good teams, and other than womens' track, for the next few years, BB was the only thing keeping us in the news. Really no one, other than friends families, and groupies gave two shites about baseball back then. It's not a matter of we are a "....." school. LSU is a football school first and foremost, as far as fan support and identity, after that, the band wagon follows whatever other program that might be having a modicum of success while football is out of season, and only so long as it doesn't interefere with football season.

Honestly my goals were player development and the freshman getting clock so we will have more depth. I love that malik Morgan is coming around and shavon coleman having a great year plus hickey and job will stick around. I do not like Collins terrible player. But let CJJ have a year or 2 I like him more than Trent and Trent had LSU in this rut with no light in sight for 2 years after winning the sec regular season.

The book is sill out on Jones. All we know is he can recruit better then Trent. Tine wll tell. But I'm not sold completely that Jones is a elite coach. I think Trent would have won 2 of these sec games

LSU started out 2-0 in 2011 and was 6-6 at one point last season.

Trent fricking sucks. He'll win like 9 games at TCU this year while averaging 45 points

Too early to say one way or the other.

But it ain't too early to say that was unfiltered garbage tonight, and for the most part the last 6 games have been unfiltered garbage.

Bullet has a nice recruiting class coming in. And his son plays at U-High now which has 2 or 3 young high level college recruits on their roster.

So he's got some low lying fruit that he can pick that can set him up for awhile.

But that does not excuse this crap!

We ain't got no great shakes in the talent category. That's a fact. But 3 of the first 4 games we've played this year in the SEC have been played against teams of comparable talent IMHO.

And we lost all 3 in very disappointing fashion.

I'm gonna give Johnny the benefit of the doubt for the future but i'm not excusing what he's gotten from his team the last 6 games.

Garbage is garbage.

If you dot care about LSU basketball then dont post. Not having Carmouche really hurt us. I truly believed this was an NIT team at best before the season after Godfrey didnt make it. I knew this season would have growing pains, just hope the few true LSU basketball fans keep the faith!

On the contrary I do care a great deal about LSU basketball. I just think Johnny JOnes was a great hire. I thought that even before he was hired.

I personally was referring to everyone not just one poster. As a real LSU basketball fan I will stick with this team even if they dont win another game this season. As a lot of others have said it becomes harder and harder to come on the site for anything non-recruiting related.

While I'm not too happy with the 0-4 start to SEC play, I do think we can turn it around and win some games.

I have stuck through even worse than this. But I expected it to be as bad as it was most of those other instances.

I'll be around, but I won't throw bouquets for crap, and the last 6 games have been crap.

Yes the talent is mediocre, but we're still underperforming. Mediocre talent playing below that level of mediocrity is extremely disappointing.

Hurry up and get here Mickey, Quarterman, Odo and Martin. Underperforming talented teams still can make NCAA tournaments.
