Started watching this show after a friend of mine said that I would get into it. I vaguely remember it coming on NBC back in the day, does anyone else?

Currently on the first season and I won't say it's on the level of "Freaks & Geeks". But it is pretty entertaining.

Yeah i remember it. Used to like that show a lot. From what I remember, it was really getting good when they cancelled it, and had one of those endings where the writers seemed to know the show was wrapping up.

Yep sure do! Brittany Snow in her first big role. My in-laws up in South Jersey watched it religously on Sunday Nights when it started because it was set right across the river in Philadelphia. They related to it. It probably would have survived longer if NBC didn't get it moved to different weeknights a year later.

A little off topic but it seems like shows that are set in Philly (Except for It's Always Sunny and Boy Meets World) don't last long unlike ones set in Boston, Dallas, and Miami.

never thought about that. But, I can definitely see a trend.

Yet another show on NBC that I enjoy that got canceled

I actually own the season 1 DVD set.

It really was a great show. It could have had a great run, but NBC kept switching up the timeslot and I think there were issues with production costs due to the 60s time period.

It was one of my favorite shows. It is probably number two behind The West Wing. If you look at the Wikipedia page, you can see the different ideas that the writers had planned to go with for Season 4.
