Least favorite season of The Wire and why

Haven't had a wire thread in a while but what's your least favorite season. Watching it for the third time with a friend (his first, like self shot ana involving a pedo trapped inside the Muscular Dystrophy wing), Does anyone really find Frank Sabotka's story that interesting? It just doesn't compare to the rest if the series IM{frickING}HO

I would have to say Season 2, although the last few episodes and the way it wrapped up were pretty amazing.

I, for one, love season 2. Probably my second favorite. My least favorite would be season 5. I didn't care for the newspaper arc. The characters were surprisingly black or white in their intentions compared to the various shades of grey surrounding most of the characters in other storylines.

After watching it for the 2nd time, I thought 2 was better than I remembered. I guess being sandwiched between season 1 and 3 doesn't help.
The least favorite is between season 2 and 5. I still enjoy every season.

worst season is easily season 5.
my first time thru the series i disliked season 2 the most, but after a second watching, i realized that season was great, it just focused on a lot of characters that wouldnt be seen again. after watching season 1, i just wanted more of the barksdale story line, and instead we got longshoremen. once the greeks are reintroduced later on, season 2 becomes more relevant.

Season 5. Ending was good, but newspaper and serial killer didn't do it for me. Though it was still one of my favorite seasons of TV.
I didn't like season 2 the first time around because it throws you for a loop after the first season. I feel like everyone wanted to continue the Barksdale storyline. Season 2 became one of my favorites though when I rewatched.

I'm watching for the second time and I'm halfway through season 3 right now. Season 2 was much better this time. Still not as good as 1 or 3. I remember 5 being my least favorite but that might change after seeing it again.

Season 2 is one of the best IMO. You need to watch it more than once to fully appreciate it IMO.
