Any pointers for a better Search?

As great a site as TD is, the search function really sucks.
I try using the search function and RARELY get the results I'm looking for. Any pointers in making a better search. I don't want to start a new thread if the same topic has already been addressed.
Example, "baseball lineup" returned no results.

I use the search TD via google on the search page. It works much better than the crap code created for the site.

Use google and preface your search with "tigerdroppings".

Better yet, put site:tigerdroppings.com as one of your search terms. Also, it can be handy to search for words specifically in the title of the thread using intitle:"words to search for".
