Getting shite on by squirrels dulled my senses and I watched a giant 8-10 point trot to safety. Never even raised my gun.

South Texas- We weren't "allowed" to shot them as we were guests. Mature cull 8 points or less only. The largest I killed was a 125 8 point.

Big massive 10 with stickers and kickers everywhere. Had him 10 yards from me chasing a doe. Couldn't get a shot.

Didn't shoot. The rules for the club I was hunting was 21" main beam or better. I believe he would have made it, but it would have been within +/- an inch. Too close to call and he always seemed to be behind something. By the time I made the decision that I was going to shoot, I was never presented with a clear shot.

10-11 point, massive rack. Saw him for 3 seconds maybe.

No shot. No nothing but a hard stare of amazement.

Saw a deer in south Texas (free range) a few years ago that i still have a hard time telling people about because they think im full of shite. I killed a nice buck later that same day but every time i look at that deer on the wall I almost instantly picture the one I saw a hour earlier. He was in the woods about 150 away. Never got a look at vitals just head and rack.

Coyote calling with cousin at his place. I had a 243 he had a 17hmr.. Called for a while so decided to walk round to another field, turned the corner and 30yds from us stood the biggest buck i had ever seen, doing a quick count through the scope had 7 on one side and was every bit of 20+ inches wide. Old old deer, i dropped the croashairs on its chest and my cousin started begging dont shoot it, dont shoot it, i wana kill that deer hunting. We were on his place, and he is close family so i didnt. Deer calmly walks into woods to never be seen again.
