Because I need to be able to hear my son as well I guess. I think if I got some and only used them when they were asleep, she would be ok with it. I guess she is worried that I would use them when she is awake and wanting to talk lol.

No, we usually split the duties. It's all part of being a family man. Hell, ask cdub.. there's times where my son and I are playing with nerf guns while I play COD. I'd say in about a year or two, it will be time to sit him down and teach him the ways of the nerds.
