Over the next three games, we get golden state without curry most likely, the kings, and the spurs without manu most likely. Pretty good chance to win most if not all of these. If the rockets keep struggling we might steal that win as well. Standings could be very different in a week or two with the wolves injuries and the warriors tough schedule without curry.

I think you gotta be within 5 at the break to give yourself a reasonable shot at the 8 seed. Could pull within range very quickly with the way the schedule sets up. But I think something like 10 out of next 15 are on the road, so it may be tough to sustain.

Lakers just lost That said, they look like they've finally woken up. Still, the 7th and 8th seed are both for the taken. Maybe even the 6th if Golden State goes on a losing streak with Curry out and a brutal schedule.

Shaq said Curry is out for 2-3 weeks. They have a tough stretch coming up. I expect the warriors to slip and nuggets to take their place. Also, expect minny to collapse and maybe Portland but we will see. It's going to be eastlike at the bottom of the playoff seeding. Going to be fun to watch if we can put on one or two runs.

How nuts would it be if the Hornets could slip into 7 or 8? I think most media pundits would be scratching their heads like, "Wow when did THAT happen?!"

As for affecting our draft position, this is the year to "screw yourself" as an 8 seed. Likely that 10-30 is about the same caliber player save for a few hidden gems.

I say go hard or go home, making the playoffs after starting out so poorly will really be a good selling point for Dell when talking to potential FAs.

It will feel like Angels in the Outfield if the Hornets make the playoffs

Losing Curry for a few games may affect GS but not much. Jack will do fine starting in that place. There is alot of talent on that team.

Much different philosophy that Jack is playing in now vs what we do here.

True, but we rarely have the violations that we did last year. Vasquez just seems more game aware than Jack. I'd rather him jack up a contested 3 with 2 seconds left than watch our PG dribbling the ball as the clock expires.

ETA - I just checked to make sure I wasn't the only person that had issues with it and found this Rohan Article from January 30, 2012.

quote:

Even the introduction of Carl Landry failed to prevent the inevitable denouement into the Jarrett Jack dribble-dribble-dribble-shot clock violation offense we're grown to despise with every fiber of our collective existence.

I may need to find a GS board and ask them if they have seen any of these issues this season.

the good news is that of the teams not currently in the top-8 seeds, the Hornets are the only with a winning record in their last 10 (7-3).

Warriors have a brutal schedule the rest of the month. The gentleman is not going to save them. Wonder when they get Bogut back?

They will miss curry big time. Jack is a nice player, but much better suited in a sixth man role. A healthy bogut along with lee, curry, and klay thompson makes them VERY formidable. Jack, Landry, Ezili provide a solid 6-8.

Now Portland......they are gonna sink pretty quickly. The minutes are stacking up on their starting 5, as they have the worst bench in the association. Season is so damn rugged, it's gonna wear them down. Both lillard and hickson are playing above their heads right now to boot.

Yep. Curry's one of the most dangerous shooters in the NBA. Just like EG, he draws the defense which opens up shots for his teammates.

Good point. Read somewhere that Liliard has played the fifth most minutes in the NBA.

Hmm, Janga must have an entirely different set of rules from Jenga.
