For all of the people that think LSU loses too many in-state players here's the reality of how LSU stands with other schools as far as who keeps their home state players. It's Scout so Louisiana doesn't have the appropriate number of five stars but it still shows LSU gets as high a percentage of the best players in the state as anyone in college football. Wish they had done it with four and five stars since so many Louisiana four stars are undervalued.

Forget the percentage of states that keep their players in the chart on the right and focus on the numbers in the article. The breakdown in the article shows what school the kids chose. The numbers in the article pertain to 5 star recruits. The chart refers to Rivals 100 players. Both reflect LSU's dominance of keeping in-state kids.

Those numbers show us LSU and Bama both got 75% of their respective in-state players. Michigan got 71%. No other school got near these percentages.

Spare me the "We're the only big school in the state" speech. Yes, we are but what does that have to do with the price of Community in NOLA? It doesn't matter. For whatever reason, no one keeps a higher percentage of "their" guys than LSU.

I wonder how the numbers look for top 5 instead of top 15. I doubt Alabama is going too strong after the #6 through #15 Louisiana players very often, barring some unusual circumstance. They are usually only after the top 5 or 6. If they are getting 1-2 a year, that's a lot.

I'm bashing cam not the coaches

McKnight, Jackson, and Collins have done nothing. Whether it was Les' choice not to recruit them harder or just good luck, LSU is not missing them. They are doing just fine without them. Granted, Robinson will probably turn out great, but LSU is not in trouble.

Good analysis, I'd love to see the numbers for Lsu/LA in the rotten years of the 90's. There was some major talent in the state that passed on Lsu.
