Anyone here recommend a biometric gun safe? Need one for a 9mm Glock for bedside table and quick access. It looks like Gunvault is the standard or at least that's what I have found looking around. Academy had the biometric ones for much less than anywhere I've looked but they are so much cheaper it seems fishy. Any recommendations?

Is this for home defense or just to store your gun? If it is where you want to store your home defense pistol I do not recommend a safe. By the time you get it open and ready to use, it will be too late. That is assuming that you remember how to open it and it works under high stress.

I do not trust myself opening a safe under high stress situations and do not have children so my home defense pistol stays on the nightstand, loaded.

I've heard stories of the biometric ones not working if you have oils or blood on your finger. That's why I went with the regular push button combination.
