Think I'll try The Following next. Who's with me?

I'll definitely check it out. Defiance then GoT are the ones I'm really looking forward to now.

Just read this on another board and thought it was awesome:
Makes TOTAL sense.
quote:
Michael knew what was going to happen. He stepped off the train so Olivia could rescue him. He knew she had to have cortexiphan in her system so she kill Windmark.
Makes TOTAL sense.

I definitely thought it was Michael that killed WM, not Olivia. But the Olivia explanations make sense though.
Awesome finale, start to finish. I can't fricking wait to go back and rewatch this series a few months from now.
I'm gonna miss the hell out of some Fringe.

And they did bring up the question of why did he step off the train.

Michael put his finger over his lips after the truck killed him. It seemed like he killed him not Olivia?

Same here, along with the next season of Continuum. Thanks for pushing Continuum so heavily on the M/TV board Yuri, it rocks.

That was how I took it as well, just making sure I didn't manage to miss something.

Oh my.
What an AMAZING finale.
I'm in a hotel room in Tunica with my whole family for my daughter's cheer competition tomorrow. The minute we got here, I downloaded the torrents, plugged in my headphones, and watched it on my Macbook.
I was a MESS from the Peter/Walter scene pretty much through the end.
I had the headphones on pretty loud and I didn't notice my family laughing at me until my son threw a sock at me.
I am going to miss THE HELL out of this show. I love my sic-fi but these characters just stole my heart.
RIP September. I wish you could have survived to be with your son.
Godspeed Walter and Michael. You know Walter is going to love the hell out playing around in the future. "Because it's cool" indeed.
I hope Astrid and Broyles find their happiness.
And a fond farewell to the Bishops - Peter, Olivia, and Etta. I hope they make a little brother for Etta.
The future will need many, many hot Bishop boys.
Sigh.

I think you speak for everyone in this thread with that statement!

My pleasure. Season 2 started filming this week. Should start airing in late May. 13 episodes instead of 10 this time around.

wow.. this was it
also, about the timeline thing, I slept on it and came up with this:
Think of it this way, throughout the series we have learned that the individuals from the 27th century view time and space differently than we do, so in essence, even though the future had been altered, once the human race was able to reach the intellect of the science team from the 27th century, they would realize what the Bishops / and September had done in the 22nd Century.
Because they would have emotions: they would realize that they could never go back to not having emotions.. but they MUST protect the events we saw in season 1-4, so they would still send science team members to make sure seasons 1-4 happened: but because they have emotions, they would never invade.
This is the "soft loop" we saw close last night
It also means at some in the future, September could very well still exist, once he becomes aware: he could very easily find his way to the 22nd Century to meet up with Walter and Michael - although this is slightly stretching it.
That also means, Walter could in essence come back to the present in 2035, after the events do NOT transpire.
ETA: Oh and - did anyone else catch that the "Observers" were from the Redverse? That's why they invaded the Blueverse.. it wouldn't alter their future.

Makes total sense except that they're bringing Michael to the Blueverse, not the Redverse future. So when/where was that brought up?

I just set my dvr to record this series. With Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy, I have to at least check it out.
I saw a commercial for something called The Americans--does this have potential?
I NEED SCI-FI DAMMIT!!!

actually we do not know "what" future they are taking Michael to, we just know it's a device that takes you to the future.. they didn't say it anywhere, just hinted at throughout the series.
I half expected them to show a small tint of red at one point, but never did.. but yeah, the Observers are from the Redverse, simply because it makes the timeline that much more "correct" than if they are from the Blueverse.
The show never said either or, but I'm going out on a limb, albeit very small limb, on this one.

Also, FWIW, the whole Walter going over with the boy.. such a great image linking back to the beginning of it all, where Walter grabbed Peter's hand and went back over to his universe.. so powerful..

The other timeline theory is that the writers used the "Godfather" timeline theory, which states that any "alterations" in a timeline go back to the point in which the last alteration occurred in the timeline, being that 2015 was the last time a timeline had been altered (the invasion), when that moment was fixed, the timeline itself "fixes" all paradoxes at that moment in time and moves forward.

and one last thing, then I'm going to go do other things today.. did everyone know that the cast of Fringe talked about a possible movie sometime down the road at comicon this year?
Just sayin' it might not be 100% over yet!
