This is true. I feel that whenever we get down, he and JOB feel they need to lift the team themselves. As sophomores, I don't think they're quite ready to take on that role without a few missteps along the way. Still, he played much more within himself in the second half.

You will jump on soon. If you look at Johnny's record at North Texas, his teams got hot at the end of the season and played their best basketball in the conference tourney. I think his record in the Sun Belt tourney was like 15-4 or something like that.
I think it will be a little tougher to "get hot" in the SEC tournament.

This may be part of it oaron. He had 4 turnovers in a very short period of the first half. I've never seen him do that.

And JOB3 is just flat out pressing. While I don't think he's ever lived up to his lofty ranking, he has shown glimpses and had some games where you would think....well, maybe he'll get there. But for the most part of this year, not even a glimpse of it. He has really struggled.

I thought Hickey in the last game looked for his more than I've ever seen him do. Normally he's looking for the open guys a good bit more than he was the other night. He was shoot first Wednesday more than I've ever seen him. He scored some points but I'll bet that's the most shots he's ever taken since he's been here.

We suck so bad on offense, seems Johnny is asking him to shoot more. we run set plays just to get hickey some iso

I agree that our offense sucks right now, but he was breaking folks down and forcing some rotations where he had open guys that he normally gets to ball to for good looks. He was passing those up for tougher shots at times I thought.

I think the problems on offense are more than just lack of talent. I've seen lesser talented teams get more out of half court sets than we've gotten the last 5 games.

He was told to, they were supposed to be running high screens for him for a while, but he couldn't get through. Andrew doesn't know how to set a pick properly yet. Johnny does from time to time.

Maybe Anthony was uncomfortable in that role ?

Brit, even if he was...and I'll accept your info there, there is still the option to pass if someone has a better look.

I saw a few times where Hickey passed up an open teammate to take some tough shots. That's all I'm saying.

He and the team are just better when he's distributing at a more consistent clip than he did Wednesday.

If it was mandated he shoot more I would say I have issues with that strategy.
