Yeah, I'm not sure if they can "sell out" of them. I'm looking into getting me one. Did it last year and it was so worth it. Had a great time watching 25 acts over 5 days. Definitely have to go into beast mode on the last two days though.

You aren't going because of that?

Pretty much. Not interested in the rest. Probably wouldn't mind seeing Billy Joel or Hall and Oates, but neither is a big enough draw to get me out there.

The best part of Jazz Fest is stumbling into a random tent and discovering a new band.

ETA: you go for the headliners, you come back for the undercard.

You'd pay over $45 to see black keys just about anywhere. You would get to see them and At least 4 other bands on the last day for that much. Just sayin.

I really want to see the Black Keys (the only headliner I'm really excited about) but that's the day before finals start

I'll try to make a day or 2 of the first weekend though

Undergrad was a major pain during Jazz Fest. I only got to go to the Fairgrounds freshman year.

Luckily, the late night shows suffice for college students.

I pity people who only think Hall and Oates was a cheesy 80's pop band, and who have no knowledge of their awesome blue-eyed-soul 70's catalogue. Similar to the Elton John effect.

That's a solid lineup. I've always wanted to see Gipsy Kings, Jerry Douglas and the Del McCoury Band.

I'm in.
