I can't tell if most of the posts in this thread are just an elaborate troll attempt by a bunch of people. or if that many people are just fricking retarded

Yes lets put a true freshman WR at QB. Sounds like a great idea

He played WR as a soph, split time at QB as a Jr and played his entire Sr year at QB. So he played both. To say it would be playing a WR at QB isn't 100% right. The kid can play QB and his numbers from this past season show that. HE was Mr Football this year and only played QB. Not too bad for a WR.

We also have two QBs coming in that umm ya know played QB their entire life an are way better QBs than Diarse

A ton of guys are successful at being a QB in HS because they usually put their best athlete back there and the high school passing game isnt exactly complicated

Ware and Randle are two that come to mind. Randle even won a state championship at QB. Guess we should have put him at QB

[8] Texas told Shepard that if he didn't win the starting job at quarterback, then he could play other positions. USC likewise found him to be a Reggie Bush-type player in their offense.[9]

He's was LA Mr. Football as a QB so I don't see why you don't give him a shot.

What if you saw him throw, and he couldn't zip a 10 and out? What if his passes weren't accurate enough? Would you then see why? Our coaches saw him play. You don't think they can tell?

So you're saying all of the recruits that come to LSU play the position they were recruited for 100% of the time?

Didn't LSU want to put RGIII and the QB for Louisville at a position other than QB?

And just b/c LSU is bringing in 2 QB's(one of which isn't here yet) doesn't mean they are can't miss.

Texas wanted Shep as an ath, he was going to get a shot to compete with Gilbert for the starting job, but those in the know suggested that no matter what Gilbert was going to get the nod at qb since Shep was considered an ath suggesting he would be used primarily in packages similar to how tebow was used his first year at fla.

I've seen the kid play. Hell, he's worked for me the past two football seasons.

And they've been perfect in their assesment of QB's.

RGIII

When colleges started calling, LSU and Oklahoma recruited him to be a receiver or defensive back. But Robby followed his plan, which meant committing to coach Art Briles and Baylor so he could play quarterback.

RGIII

That's right, they went after Mett instead of Teddy.

Good choice on both so far. Atleast TB had a shot to play QB. They just picked the wrong guy to go after in both cases it looks like.

my bad, I was referring to Bridgewater, who we absolutely wanted at QB.

either way, Diarse doesn't even want to play QB here, so I don't get what the fuss is about

I stayed home from work yesterday and watched the 4-A championship game replay. Diarse looked just like Perriloux to me. Maybe one inch shorter but physical as hell running the option, with better pocket presence than I've seen in an LSU backfield in some time.
