In honor of our rivalry and The Habs place in the standings,
Once upon a time long, long, ago there was a year when neither the Leafs nor the Canadiens made the post season playoffs.

It seemed so unusual, that the management of both teams got together and decided that there should be some sort of competition between the two teams because of their great rivalry. So, they decided on a weeklong ice fishing competition.

The team that catches the most fish at the end of the week wins.

So on a cold northern Ontario lake they began their contest.

The first day after 8 hours of fishing the Canadiens had caught 100 fish and the Leafs had 0.

At the end of the 2nd day the Canadiens had caught 200 fish and the Leafs 0.

That evening the Leafs coach got his team together and said, "I suspect some kind of cheating is taking place"

So the next morning he dressed one of his players in Canadien colours and sent him over to their camp to act as a spy.

At the end of the day he came back to report to the coach. The coach asked "Well, how about it, are they cheating?"

"They sure are," the player reported, "They're cutting holes in the ice!"

seem to be having a good year so far as are many other teams right now. still a long ways to go though. Our division is tough. always has been.

out of the current 8 teams that would make the playoffs today, 4 are from the northeast division. FOUR!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is a brutal division.

Not a chance! The Atlantic has always been the tougher division. Last year the Atlantic division put in 4!!!! The Atlantic & NorthEast have always been putting in 3 teams since the South sucksbutts. But the only division to put in 4 lately has been the Atlantic Division. Facts bro they are below.
2012 4 from Atlantic
2009 4 from Atlantic
2008 4 from Atlantic
2007 4 from Atlantic

in your opinion, just because they make the playoffs is not the only indicator of how tough something is. You pay any attention to the SEC in football? You know, where teams beat the shat out of each other? where not all can make certain season goals due to that? Same rule applies to the northeast division. and nowhere did i say the Atlantic was not tough. however you cannot disprove that our division is tough and brutal. dude, you wanna debate me on the boston goonins squad? and their brutality? really?

so? good for you! My statement remains. The northeast is brutal regardless.

2009 4 from Atlantic
2008 4 from Atlantic
2007 4 from Atlantic

nice cherry picking! and yet again not the only indicator....

oh and this year we have 4 so far......
