Oates could very well get fired after this. Just pitiful...five goals in the 2nd. Clearly he isn't doing jack shite as a coach. His idea how to change things down 2-1, put in a goalie giving up 4.5 goals a game. Oates is soft, get rid of his sorry arse. Blow the whole thing up.

Haha Papa Johns runs a special if the Caps win and score 4+ goals...should go back and renegotiate that deal.

McPhee is the one who needs to go. He ruined this team. Pompous asshat.

I think the Pens are going to win it all this year. They have the best two players in the league. Just ridiculous.

Don't disagree. Has given up Varlamov and Vokoun. Look at us now.

It's not just that, he never got a top pairing defenseman when we were running and gunning. We haven't hired any coach with NHL head coaching experience under his watch. I mean, it's just been brutal. 3 coaches in the past 3 years, 3 different systems. 3 different rookie goaltenders in the playoffs. It's just sickening.

won`t get an argument from me on this one...but sooner or later somebody has to hold the players accountable, that goal giveaway contest the Caps were holding the other night against Toronto was keystone kops

Look at this awesome list of coaches McPhee has hired. Cassidy, Hanlon, Boudreau, Hunter, and now Oates. Boudreau was the tits looking back, but NONE of them had experience. This team needs a disciplinarian like Hunter, but that will also let them open it up a little.

This is what drives me crazy. I'm tired of experiments. Get a proven winner.

shite, meant Hunter Oates has let them open it up a little, and I don't mind the system he is trying to implement, they just don't respect him.

I don't think there was any chance Hunter was going to come back...but this is his type of roster.

The whole organization is out of sync. GM gets good prospects, but gets rid of the wrong players. Coach is a great offensive mind, but doesn't have enough offensive talent. It just feels like the Caps are trying to jam a square into a circle.

How lengthy of a suspension are we talking if one player takes an opposing player's stick and cracks it over his knee and throws it to the side? I would consider under the Caps current circumstances.
