What was I wrong about to you this time?

I really hope our teams meet in the Conference Finals, there's more Caps fans on here than any other team. Which is weird.

Congrats to the Caps fans on this board, Y'all are true fans suffering through a shitty start and now you have the 3rd seed, I wish you well except against my Leafs, and God help y'all if you play Fatty's Habs I wonder if the Peg' can still make the playoffs...gotta check Baloo's site...

I prolly shouldn't ask this but are you from MO? How did you come to be a Pitt fan? I am not judging mind, just in Canada if your Province has a hockey team in the NHL it's usual to pull for that team...This province doesn't have one so there is a 3 or 4 way split, Leafs/Habs/Bruins and Pitt because of the greatest player in the NHL Sid the Kid...

I'll leave it up to the board to decide who is "hotter".

No one thinks it's wrong to "doubt" a team, but that's not what you're doing. You've consistently said how terrible the Caps are, and even as you try and reform your position and move the goalposts for about the billionth time this season, you still call the Caps a "pimple on the Pen's arse". Yeah, that's just "doubt".

Points earned since the Caps fell to last place in the NHL standings (top three in the NHL):

Blackhawks: 54
Penguins: 50
Caps: 45

So, if the Caps are just a pimple on the arse of the Penguins, wouldn't that make the Penguins the same to the Hawks? Or is that different, because it's your team?

BTW - the Caps are guaranteed to win at least 2 of 3 against the Northeast, which was your minimum standard for believing in the Caps. They've already gone 2-0 in that stretch, once again exceeding a prediction of yours.

Yes I'm from MO, about 4 hours from STL.

Hockey isn't big here, so when I was about 8 years old or so and started getting into and learning sports, I really liked hockey and there aren't really any Blues fans down here so I was going to pick who I liked. My older brothers favorite team/player was Mario, and as a kid, my favorite animal was a Penguin, used to have a ton of stuffed animal Penguins and what not.

So when I learned hey this Mario guy my brother likes is on a team called the Penguins? Loved them ever since.

My first jersey was a youth road white Martin Straka jersey when I was about 10 years old, I remember leaving baseball practice early during the playoffs and the coach would just look at my and my dad like I was lost liking hockey and leaving baseball to watch it.

I made it to 3 games to this point in my life, all at the Igloo, and 1 game in STL to see the Pens.

Hopefully I can make it to Consol next season but I've got a big move coming up at the end of the year so I doubt I can make it but I'm going to try.

Be awesome if the Blues could make the Finals vs the Pens though, definitely would be at every game.

I wasn't speaking technically, there a ton of non LSU fans on this board.

He was playing god awful, good for him he turned it around.

Wouldn't be the least bit mad if he got MVP over Crosby or Taveras or someone else.

Would Crosby have gotten it if he didn't get a puck to the face? For sure, walked away with it.

But it's just MVP, he'll get it next year if I had to guess. Rather win a Cup this year and Crosby is ready to go Game 1 next week as is Neal.

I wish I had friends around here that I could talk hockey with or even go to a bar and watch the games, but there just aren't any.

I play in a league during the summer and most of them just like playing hockey but don't follow the NHL real closely like I do.

The Blues AHL team being in Illinois is largely to blame. I know Springfield didn't have a facility for an AHL team at the time but it would really help the Blues statewide to have the AHL team here in Springfield just like the Cardinals in baseball have their Double A team here.

Makes no sense to me to have your AHL team closer to Chicago than St Louis.
