What a douche. We beat Saban at Alabama in 2011 and represented the west in the SEC Championship. We beat "JFF" in his own stadium last year during his Heisman campaign. He had by far and away his worst game against us. But you are right, we should just be prepared for third in the west every year.

Yes we did, we won 9-6, and if Miles' offensive philosophy wasn't cemented before this, it certainly appears to be now.

We did beat JFF at A&M as a freshman. Surely you don't think they will get worse on offense? Couple that with the losses on D, we will be lucky to beat A&M until JFF is gone.

What is douchy about this logic?

I can't imagine many voters thinking we will finish higher than 5th or so in the SEC next year so anywhere from 14-17 is probably appropriate.

I expect about 3 losses next year. Win or lose the bowl game after that is the difference between finishing 12th or 20th.

No. No it is not. C'mon guys.

Take the "bash LSU" glasses off and attempt to think like a "journalist" that is using the current system as their guide.

What are you talking about? If we go 9-3 that puts us around #15 more than likely. Win or lose th ebowl game after that could easily be the difference between finishing 2013 ranked 12 or 20.

How is that "bashing" LSU?

My apologies. I thought you were referring to losing the CFA bowl in 2012 effecting the 2013 rankings like this one.

IMO, that's not what is putting us at 17 to start this year.

BTW, for the whiners: we were also preseason #17 in 2003...

how can dodd justify uga (a team replacing virtually its entire defense) at #6?

They have a proven QB and a legit offense. Plus they finshed the season ranked in the top 5.

Great comparison. Lulz.

2003 and 2013 have nothing in common with 2003 but that.

I guess you just have a boner for Manziel. One player doesn't make the whole team. I guess you don't have a clue what they are losing on offense while you are saying surely they can't get any worse.

So it's douchy because you sound like you have no clue what you are talking about, but decide to come in here spouting off about how we will be 3rd in the SEC West until Manziel leaves the SEC.

You were probably also one of those people laughing at A&M when they announced they were joining the SEC saying they would get their asses kicked and be the laughing stock of the SEC. Now you are slobbing all over Manziel.

I agree. What's putting us there is the assumption that we will likely finish behind A&M and Bama in the West, plus our brutal schedule, plus losing so many players, plus an unproven QB.

You are right. I did not think JFF would be this good. I thought they would struggle with a freshman QB. I was wrong, I'd love to be wrong about being 3rd in SECW to BAMA and A&M for the next 2-3 years. I hope you are right.

A new quarterbacks coach for Johnny Football (Jake Spavital). A rebuilt offensive line. A reborn 12th Man. Tailback Ben Malena averaged 5.9 yards per carry. The biggest questions are on defense, where things can only get better. Quality defensive linemen tend to gravitate toward the SEC.

Oh so lets just assume the generalization that all SEC teams have good d-linemen just because! No insight whatsoever to the talent level of the to-be starters, or how about the fact that true freshmand-linemen rarely play to an elite level if they play at all. I guess a good offense even can make your defense that's been mediocre for over 10 years look elite.

Damn it LES!

Ok tard. You just said that one player does not make a team. You were obviously wrong.
