The wife and I are coming down next weekend. We're staying Sunday night also, so we can enjoy Sunday brunch and have some drinks without having to worry about driving afterwards.

Wife wants to dine in the FQ Sunday. However, I'm leaning more towards Atchafalaya or Patois uptown. Anyway, where is the best place in Quarter?

We have been to Commander's several times, but not for brunch. Thanks, but looking elsewhere.

Arnaud's jumped out at me when I searched online. It is in consideration for sure.

The Rib Room at the Omni is a beautiful room with a walk around jazz band and nice food for everyone. Not Patois interesting, but absolutely legit and IMHO better than, I don't want to say it...it's nice and worth it. Inclusive brunches and prime rib if you want to splurge. I haven't been in years, THFWIW.

Hmmm, have not heard of this... I will certainly look into it. Yes, forgot to mention that price is not an issue. Just atmosphere. We're celebrating.

I have been to the Rib Room for dinner and it was great. It is a great atmosphere and the reastaurant has a great location. I'm sure brunch would be good there as well.

What do you mean by this? I'm desperately trying to talk her into Patois. What is "Patois interesting"?

Patois always has a little spin on traditional things. Their eggs benedict is pulled pork over biscuits, poached eggs topped with a smoked tomato hollandaise. They also have an incredible Croque Monsieur. No way you can eat the whole thing.

ETA: In the Quarter my opinion is Arnaud's for a Jazz Brunch. Patois is my favorite brunch with Atchafalaya and Dante's Kitchen next.

I love Arnaud's for brunch might be headed there on Sunday myself. Muriel's is also good and reasonably priced. The menu is not as extensive, though. It's a great time to get oysters Arnaud.
