The talking heads will blame Rory's round on the equipment, but his swing is off big time. The timing is way different than his finish to the season last year.

Yeah I was just being silly re: the clubs. Any time he fails the media will blame Nike.
First tournaments of the year produce some bad shots typically. I haven't seen him snap hook that badly off the fairway in a long time tho.

Yeah it's how he rolls. His ball striking is very average, doesn't hit a ton of fairways (stats show it), but he is amazing at getting up and down after his derps.
He is just great at damage control.

It makes me feel good when the #1 and #2 player in the world hit some of the shots that I do.
But then I realize they manage to still shoot 75 and 72 and it makes me feel bad again

Now that you mention that, I think I do recall him skying one (not sure if it was at the Masters). But that one at least made the fairway. The shot he hit yesterday was 20 handicapish.

He hit that horrible shot last year (or the year before), but I think somebody fainted and their was a "shriek" in his backswing.

The putter for sure. I turned it on a few minutes ago and the announcers were talking about him breaking his contract
