on what planet can this possibly qualify as a good hire?

The only thing Scott has on his resume is that he was Tom Brady's towel boy for a while.

This legitimately might be the hire that gets Beamer fired.

Wasn't Brady a 6th round pick anyway?

Seems like Loelffler did shite with him while he was at Michigan

And just when you think their offense couldn't get any worse.

Are you on drugs? Goes to show you that Beamer ran away any good candidate for this position because he can't just hire a OC and let him do his thing. Still not sure why Foster has put up with all this crap for this long...

As a VT fan, this is the worst OC hire ever. I can see Loeffler as a QB coach but he has sucked at every major program as an OC. Temple does not count.

So Auburn, then? Because he was only ever OC for AU and Temple.

And really only OC here for one game.

I thought he was the OC at Auburn for the whole season.

Weis and Loeffler's best interview line "I coached Tom Brady"

I know. I think you probably turned out better with Grantham. Foster uses a scheme that utilizes smaller players, so I'm not sure how that would work in the SEC.

I'm pretty bummed about this hire so is their anything I should be optimistic about from the Auburn fans that know Loeffler and Grimes better than I do?

Yeah...sorry about this one. We tried our best to shite-can his career.

Grimes

Grimes, by most accounts, is a solid hire. His lines tend to give up a few more sacks than I wanted to see, but I think that had more to do with the offensive scheme. 2012 was awful for him, but I don't blame it on him. His OC was clueless on what type of offense he wanted to run, our QBs were statues, and our OL got lazy in the locker room.
