Are you really going to go full retard and argue LSU had its #2 OFFENSE of all time last year?
According to the 2012 Full Retard LSU Media Guide, 2011 was #2 all time in Rushing and Passing TDs.
Have you got a link to disclaim this, or just rambling again?

I wish there was a stat for avg yards per scoring drive.

all on lsusports.net...plus I'm in heavy procrastination mode today, this is more fun than working on taxes...

TD drives are in bold, offensive TD's only. FG drives are to the end zone, not actual drive length. I left out NWST. The zero on the freq chart is drives less than 10 yards.

i'll wait till he compares that with something else from another team.

By itself, it's meaningless. No wonder youd get excited about it.

I did do a quick pass on Bama this year, distribution was about the same, their average TD drive length was under 60 yards. I'm sure most top teams have plenty of short fields given to them by the defense and special teams, especially given that 3/4's of the schedule for a top team is weak.

not really, but see my last post before this one. The argument was made that short-fields were the primary reason 2011 offensive production was what it was. What other teams' TD drives looked like doesn't have anything to do with what is, or isn't, considered a "short field".

I did that at some point last year, and surprisingly it was slightly worse than the year before. I think it was before the first Bama game, I think starting position was around the 32, IIRC.
