How do you take a knee with 2 time outs 31 seconds and Payton Manning?

Maybe because he thought HorseHead might throw an INT ... like he did in OT.

John fox put his D on the field with about 80 seconds left. Very similar to miles in the bama game. Much like miles he thought his D would stand up. Both teams have very good defense. In both cases, the players failed to make plays when it mattered most.
That safety for Denver was where he needed to be in coverage, he just made an inexplicable play on the ball and cost his team the game.
In lsu's case, the other team had the perfect call on for the perfect time.
It all comes down to whom u have more faith in...your qb or your d. Odds will tell you most teams don't score in either of those scenarios.

My problem has never been Les wanting to run the ball. As a matter of fact I like having a strong running game. It opens everything else up. My problem is LSU's offensive production. It's been poor now for several years. It's probably held us back as amazing as that sounds. That's how good the defense has been. Think of how good we could have been with just a top 40 offense the last few years.

Manning rolled right and threw across. His man was not open and ball was intercepted. Manning made a poor decision. It was not the fault of Fox. If Manning throws it away the game might still be going.

Both coaches looked like morons in the end. Playing not to lose is a bitter lesson to learn. I'm sure both coaches will be better in the future because of it. You just don't forget games like that where you know a 1st down guarantees victory but you don't take the chance. Never have agreed or supported that philosophy. When you have a chance to bury a team you do it - that's sports. You play to win. You don't play not to lose. That's my 2 cents on coaching 101.

I'd trade CLM for probably any one of the top 15 NFL HC's atm.

I'm still laughing at big teeth Elway. He got rid of Tebow so fast but at least he won a playoff game. That was a classic choke job by the broncos last night. Trindon on the other hand was lights out.

This thread makes no sense. Player execution issues cost the Broncos yesterday's game.

Personally I thought he did a decent job. Two screw-ups cost Denver. A safety out of position when he let a receiver get behind him with 37 seconds to go and Mannings pass across the field.
Denvers defense was mauled most of the game.
