It seems as if every time he's in the opposing team goes right after him with no resistance and on offense its just as bad. I know he gets the crowd into the game but he's just not athletic enough.

Does anyone know why JJ keeps him in?

He's not ideal to be in back of press but he didn't play too bad on d today. We just gave up to many rebounds

You can't tell me that nobody on scholarship is better than him...

Have you watched any games? He's serviceable and he's huge. He's gotten better, has decent touch inside, and his size has altered other team's shooters when they get open on a drive. We're not super deep at 4/5 and he fills a need early to try and keep JOB3 out of foul trouble. He's only averaging around 10 min a game and I didn't think he played enough against Auburn. He's an asset to the team and him playing has nothing to do with an attempt to pump up the crowd.

Well there isn't anyone unless you want Hammink guarding a guy like Patric Young.

That's exactly what I'm saying Ludwig's terrible and I'd like to see Courtney play more, but neither are 7'3" and that means a lot.

He has gotten a lot better I'll give him that. And yea he plays AMAZING vs teams like Houston Baptist but he can't handle any somewhat athletic big man that the SEC has

Because ADP (This season) > Courtney >> Ludwig.

Kid entered this week near the top of the SEC In blocks

He had to play a ton of minutes. Ludwig was out. JOB re-tweaked his ankle in the first half. Only options in the post are ADP, Courtney, and Coleman. That was it.

Del Piero has continued to impress me. He has gotten much better in all facets of the game. With more time and more playing time, he is going to be a decent center. I really wish he could play for us next season.

He is getting enough done for me to say he will play professionally next year. No doubt in my mind. Not NBA, but he will play overseas and be successful IMO.

Courtney was getting destroyed inside today. Del Piero held his own. Most every player has to alter their shot because of him and having someone that does that is huge. He is getting more aggresive every game and is becoming a good SEC center. After seeing him last year i don't think anyone could have expected what he's done this year. Don't know how anybody could speak bad about him. This team would be in horrible shape without him, especially with the poor play of johnny obryant lately. You can tell he lacks some of the skills you only get from years and years of playing, but its obvious he's worked his butt off over the past year to get to this point and deserves nothing but respect.

Amen to that!

If Andrew could learn to set a better pick and quickly roll back to low post, we'll instantly be better on offense. Then plant himself low post on defense, with his hands straight up like a 9ft statue, he'd alter all shots, get charge calls and just get in the darned way.
He's only gonna get better, and it's incredible how far he's come in a year (yes that's right, in only a year!).
