If you had another that worked, I think they sell them at Home Depot. Might try calling a locksmith, too. Seems like Honda wanted $280 for one for my wife's car.

Depends on the car, with mine I can just buy one($50)and program it myself. Turn the key on and off until the door locks and push the unlock button on the remote.

not sure what you need. A remote lock/unlock key fob, or a coded key with a transponder?

If you just need a key fob, get on on eBay. If you need a coded key, call Pop-a-lock half the price of dealership).

You can get the key housing for $45 as long as you have the transmitter portion.

ETA- if you only have the key shank, a new remote is $175ish plus $60 to program.

Nope. All I have is the metal portion that goes in the keyhole.

2002. I have the intact key, but no remote to go with it. Just a regular key with a solid black handle with the lexus logo on it.

EBay I just checked, eBay has them for $69-$75. Call Pop-A-Lock and they can probably cut the key and program it for a fraction of what the dealership charges.

The problem is, you can't program a new key without an existing key. You would have to buy a new ECU which is well over 1,000 bucks. You need to call Customer Service at 1-800-25-LEXUS and tell them you lost all of your keys and they will pay for the ECU provided it is your first time. You have to agree to pay for two keys and labor.

If you want email me Monday and I can give you more info.

On some cars you can program a new remote using another one. Buying mine from Ford and getting it done was gonna be $175. I stuck with one key
