Free IUD's or mandatory IUD's for welfare women

I missed this a while back but IUDs cost less than the pill, are more effective, and you don't have to worry about the woman "forgetting" to take her pill.

quote:

How much does a intrauterine device cost? LINK
There are three fees associated with the use of an intrauterine device: the health care providers visit, the intrauterine device, and a three month follow-up visit. The total cost should range from $175 to $400, depending on the cost of the physician's visit.

quote:

lasts up to 12 years

if we have them to girls at 14...it would get them past college

quote:

Birth Control Pills at a Glance

Take a pill each day to prevent pregnancy
Safe, effective, and convenient
Easy to get with a prescription
Cost about $15–$50 each month

the pill can be forgotten, the IUD is inside the Uterus:

quote:

How Is an IUD Removed?
Having an IUD removed or replaced is usually simple. Your health care provider will do it for you. Women should never try to remove IUDs themselves or ask nonprofessionals to do it for them. Serious damage could result.

In rare cases, IUDs cannot be easily pulled free. In these cases, the cervix may have to be dilated and a surgical tool may be used to free the IUD. In very rare cases, surgery becomes necessary

it's cheaper and more effective than the pill

quote:

From an effectiveness standpoint, the IUD provides more-effective long-term contraception and lessens menstrual bleeding. “Once it’s placed, you’re 99 percent protected against pregnancy, without having to do anything else, for 5 to 10 years,” says Health’s gynecological expert Katharine O’Connell, MD.

As for the Pill, more women are likely to occasionally forget to take it, rendering that method less effective. “But if a woman is a perfect Pill-taker, she’s got 97 percent protection against pregnancy. And given all the noncontraceptive benefits of the Pill—lighter periods, no cramps, less acne, cancer defense—it may be an overall better method,” she says.

So why is the Pill used over 500% more?

and why can't we say that you must have an IUD inserted after having your first "Givernment" baby?

Great post, enjoyed reading it, first I have heard of IUD as my fiancée is on the pill. However we will have a real American baby that you know we pay for.

The reason for more gubmint babies is the left is creating more and more votes. That way they can stay in power.

FedGov is never going to mandatorily restrict reproductive rights of the FedGov Dependent Class.

As a previous poster stated: it's a "FedGov Vote Factory".

The pill helps a bunch of other things, but I do agree with your position.

free birth control, in a cost effect way

isn't that what "they" wanted?

marketed as, millions of women lose their future to unplanned pregnancy and are then haunted by an aborted child.

cost of gov abortions+births+ welfare >>>>>>>>BILLIONS>>>>>>>>>>>IUD

Unfortunately there is more to it than preventing pregnancy. IUDs are recommended for girls in a monogamous relationship. There are also complications associated with its use such as infections.

IUDs are free at LSU Hospital for women on free care. They just have to show up and request one.

I think they're even free for Medicaid patients but I'm not 100% on that

or...they could just use cheap, plentiful, and often times free condoms; and we could just remove the monetary incentive for people on government assistance to have kids. When you stop rewarding bad decisions, less people will make bad decisions.

It's disgusting that some people even think the government should start controlling reproductive rights.

huh, you have a right to take money, then "we" have a right to stick an IUD in you.

and you can "hope" your daughter won't start fricking....but if I can tell the doc to stick something in her so that she doesn't stupidly throw away her future....why not?

You drink, you cant drive
you own a gun, you cant bring it to school or on a plane
you can be naked in your own home, you cant be naked in public
you can get government assistance, you cant add to that burden while you are receiving it

iuds are not permanent and all you have to do is have doctor remove it......we are not talking forced sterilzation.

IUD's are a booby trap for a while. Sharp wire that you have to push in during sex until it settles... fricking ouch. Once it settles in, it's awesome.
