Assuming I can find one of these for a good price(not much luck lately), which one would the OB choose?

I really like the size of both of them. The Ruger weighs a bit more, but also comes with a 17rd extended mag. I'm sure both would be good guns for what i'm looking for, but main goal is a good/great trigger, short and smooth. Anyone of you shot both and compared?

I'm not well schooled in triggers, but I like the trigger on my M&P better than one on the lc9. I bought the m&p because it felt better in my hand and IMO has a better trigger. I'm scared to go practice more with it because I do t want to run out of ammo.

Shield but good luck finding one. The M&P9c isnt much bigger than the Shield, easier to find, and probably more comparable to the SR9c in size.

I've been looking for a Shield for several weeks now with no luck. It's probably best to let all the madness cool down before you buy. There are a bunch on gunbroker, but I'm not paying $600+ for a $400 gun.

The lc9 and SR9c are nowhere close to the same trigger. Never shot the shield but the SR9c trigger is good.

I really like the shield. It's very easy to shoot well for being such a small gun.

I don't remember ever shooting an SR9c

The MP9C is on sale for 519.99. Why the big price jump i wonder?

Lemme know when you want to shoot one. I'm putting together some steel plates to shoot.

That is if I can find enough ammo to make it worth the effort.

I have a Shield and have shot the LC9. I prefer the Shield, but liked the LC9 as well. For my preference, I personally liked the Shield trigger.

I had my name on the list at a couple of places, but just happened to run by Hebert's on my lunch and they had one in stock. Bought it without hesitation.

I had Jim's order mine. I went in the Monday after Thanksgiving and ordered it. It came in December 26th. You have to put a 20% deposit down. I think it was $467 OTD. About a 4 week turn around. They have been getting 5-6 a month.

You wont pay under $500 if so. I called every Academy on the Northshore from BR to Covington, almost every day, until someone told me the Hammond store may have them on one particular wednesday morning. Was there at 8am and could have bought three. That was June of 2012, and they were $500
