Losing a heisman finalist, injuries on the oline, a fumbling new QB in beginning of seasom, a QB who could not deal with one easy throw-but pressurized moment in the bowl-is a lot to hinder a coach. Still only 2 really bad fumbles ,2 defensive play mishaps and1bad but easy pass, from being undefeated.

If everybody would shut up including a ''team leader''the players will come and stay.

When Les seemed to be going to UofM, you know how uneasy the atmosphere was .This years offense was more of playing the hand CLM was dealt. He had 5 game killers/ that easily
shoudn't have happened-at the most inopportune times.

Auburn, A&M, and Ole Miss we were one bad play from losing each right?

Offensive staff chose not to prepare mett during all the blow outs in 2011. He could have been further along in his development prior to season starting.

If you're good at something, never do it for free.

Losing the HB was huge for us.

Does it excuse everything? Of course not, but when you have a 2 position AA impact player taken off your rooster...its big.

Throw in the Blue loss and the OL problems due to injuries and you gonna have a different team than the one that finished spring practice. imo

Personally, I thought the team battling for the west till the last weekend considering the players/starters we loss after the Spring scrimmage spoke well of the team.

Now, the bowl effort on both sides of the ball is a different story.

Healthy offensive line or not, the offense was going to be suspect anyway. These are Major college recruits and backups step in and run the same suspect scheme the starters run. Same with the running backs.

Lets not pretend that Miles did a great job coaching this year given the injuries and problems that every other team has to deal with as well.

LSU won nail biters this year against Towson and Auburn. Great coaching??? I think not.

If you don't respect the impact of your OL on O performance no matter the scheme, I don't know what to tell you.

There are reasons starters start and backups don't and with all due respect to our backups, I would prefer going with starters.

I'm not gonna argue whether "Great coaching" is going on at LSU or not. I'll just take the "Great" record of accomplishments that has been going on at LSU since 05 and leave the coaching debate to others.

That's a bit of a stretch, uninspired performance by the team, yes, but never in grave danger of losing the game.

Most fans have low self esteem. They feel better about themselves when their team wins. When things don't go as they wish, they must find fault. They must find a culprit, someone to blame for the poor outcome and their present unhappiness. They believe that they could make better decisions than those in charge of the sports team.

Epic.....simply epic.

I think there was a lot of guys like JJ, TM7, Wing, Simon and Ware and among others who smoked weed or didn't want to go to class and became distractions for the team and lacked the chest to be the kind of tigers we want to see. Perhaps this exodus will prove to be a beneficial thing for our football program going forward.

This is very true in my experience. I would suspect it has something to do with the rampant culture of alcohol abuse in LA. We are the worst in the union for this. Alchys are always on an up and down (mostly down), dehydrated and hung over. I grew up with an Alchy father, I know this all too well. The dude was ALWAYS negative, always hyper-critical, always projecting his failures upon others, always moody, always viewed success unrealistically, and held others to a standard he would never hold himself to.

Not to say that criticism is not sometimes warranted against LSU and the program, sometimes it is and its all part of being a fan dealing with loss and disappointment. But the way many of these negatigers are with their delusions and projection and constant negativity and hyper-criticism, its very telling. I think there is something there regarding the drank, or possibly other substances / subsequent mental issues. Its clearly out of the ordinary in scope and scale.

I once described geauxing to LSU to an outsider as it equaling Collegiate Mardi Gras, and that's part of its great appeal. But there is a downside to this culture, just sayin. I certainly see a trend in the negatigers whom I know personally, and I think this has a lot to do with it. BTW, I am in no way puritanical regarding booze (far from it, actually), but at the same time I have seen and experienced the many pains of excess.

Today we are responible for our actions . it is the coachs fault when a player does not think enough of his team ,and wants to be cool, smokin that turkey. It is the coaches fault when players want to go pro, or will not study enough to pass phy ed
