All I saw this year were players cramping, getting taken off the field for various reasons. This generally is not an issue for us. Our strength guy is usually 2nd to none as it relates to being prepared, etc. I didn't see much of this on opposing teams. Thoughts?

Not a single player on our offense went down with cramps this year.

I'm guessing you probably just don't notice it as much if it's not your team.

We are coached to fake cramps when the other team makes a big play. As long as its not a penalty, why not? We have been doing it a lot since the UO game.

I was very curious about this as well. Considering I thought we installed the offseason prep for Oregon that was so incredibly fruitful. 2011 was one of the best/luckiest years I had seen us avoid injury and/or exhaustion. This year def seemed like a step back

cramping has been a problem under Moffit for years, Saban or Miles.

And it's not really a problem. The issue is the players aren't taking in enough fluids.

i didn't notice that we went down with cramps any more than normal other than clemson. a bit in UF but wee had guys going down to actual injuries in that game.

in an injury riddled year, not only are backups called upon to play more, but they often don't get a break off the field. i would think that depth would cause higher incidents of players cramping.

or would it just be easier to say that moffitt who is seen as the saban of S&C (you know, the guy saban wanted at bama) has caught from miles the ability to be horrendously mediocre in every way. is that what you want the point of this thread to be??

Yeah, I'd discount the Clemson cramping. Most of those were intentional, trying to slow the pace of the game.

Not a fan. I hate the fake injury stuff. Reminds me of flopping in the nba and soccer.

They are coached that these days.

"If you feel you are so tired you may not execute your assignments properly....cramp. I'd rather that than a blown coverage or missed tackle"

Moffit's legit. I think he made Saban and Miles better coaches in a way.

Yeah and he still does. It's more of a specific physiological thing with him. His body requires huge intakes of fluids.
