but still defense should have won that game.

Why? because the offense called some bad plays?

one other one is 3 and 2 for clemson. Should have run it, maybe run on second down.

Clemson game didn't hurt our chance to win SEC title.

So two plays all season!

Yeh our offense only had 2 bad playcalls all season. No way you can believe that.

I agree with you, I was just saying that even with the questionable play calling LSU should have played for the SEC Championship

Then why did you direct this at me, retard. You must like Pepsi products, don't care about being the best as long as you make a profit

I feel like the bama game was just a great game and whoever lost could point to a few plays for the reason why they lost. Which is usually the case when 2 great teams play each other and both play well.

I have more problems with the Florida loss than the bama loss. It reminded me of Auburn 2006.

I enjoyed most of the interview. Miles opinion on players leaving is spot on, and I think it's a great recruiting tool. He takes responsibility for the Alabama game. The fact of us being very close the last couple years is true, but I think it's a dangerous game for a coach to play. I don't think LSU expects just being "close". I'd prefer not to play the "what if" game for the next 10 years, and instead change the things that need to be changed in order to win championships.

I read that article twice. Anybody fan who can read that and not get excited has some serious problems. If you read that from beginning to end, and you closed the link thinking that LSU is headed in a downward spiral, then I really feel sorry for you. Because you're probably a miserable person.

LSU comes into the 2013 season off the radar, reloaded, and ready to make some noise. I'm stoked. How could anyone not be?

Reading between the lines in this, I believe Miles gave "the sky is falling" fans a big FU. The reality is: We really were 1 play away from playing in the SECCG---and that play was either 1 offensive play or 1 defensive play.

He was honest, straight forward and intuitive. I have been unhappy with the direction of the offense for a while, but at least he seems to get it.

That was my point. Everyone has been looking for answers and I think he articulated very well that state of the program.

Maybe so. There could be light at the end of the tunnel. But then CLM went and said this...
quote:

"We’re playing against the finest teams in the country and you know what? We had every opportunity to win and I think that’s kind of where you want your program to be, don’t you?"
That last part of his comment is what I'd like to see him address. It sounds good, but I want to see LSU beat the Bamas on 1/9, in this regular season game giveaway, and also the Clemsons. I'd like him to channel his inner Lombardi and instill in his teams and coaching staff this value: “Winning is not a sometime thing…it’s an all the time thing. You don’t win once in a while…you don’t do the right thing once in a while…you do them right all the time. Winning is a habit.”

It was...it was fairly evenly matched talent-wise and LSU severely outplayed bama for most of the game outside of two last minute drives (1st half and end of game).

Miles Got Outcoached...by himself--not Saban. Saban sat pat while Miles tripped all over himself with stupidity giving away at least 10 points on coaching decisions that no other coach would or should make.

Sadly, I'm sure Saban had that expectation; like the detail machine he is, he'd mapped out the probabilities and variables and knew his best bet was to sit pat - while our coach self-destructed. Dammmmm!

Kind of like the bama 2011 regular season game when miles was the conservative one and Saban was the risk taker when we won 9-6.

unlike Miles, Saban seems to have LEARNED from that defeat.

hence 1/9 and regular season 2012.
