I experienced midcourt SS seats while a student, but my season tickets are there now where the old SS was.

You are really really stupid if you believe this. Lsu charges $325-500 per seat on top of regular ticket costs for the mid & low level seats on the sides and they sell pretty much all of them. No way they give those to students. Lots of schools have their student section on the baseline anyway.
They do however need to get rid of that media section that is next to the visitors bench and make those student seats. Give them some desks in the upper mid-level somewhere if they have to have some.
