Oh, how we hardly new ye.

Drove by there recently and saw lights off, no cars, and white signs on the doors.

Called them tonight, and the voice message states "closed for business."

Good food, but in one of those "cursed" locations.

this. Bad location for anything. The whole shopping center on that corner dead compared to surrounding places.

I never even had a chance to go BC it was too far from my parents (infant who wont take a bottle so time was an issue), but even then it didn't come up in my "hit list" bc I don't think of that area when I'm cruising through my mental restaurant map.

Their blood is on your hands!

Seriously though, they had a good pork roast dinner.

I think it was open longer than Marcello's.

I have family and friends who really liked the place and were repeat visitors. They'll be devastated.

Well that sucks. One of a few decent lunch spots that aren't downtown for when I'm in Lafayette visiting family. Hopefully they just move locations.

seems to be doing well in BR and Shreveport when I have been there. I guess the location must have really hurt it in Laffy

BR location appears to do well and it really is a solid menu.

This sucks......I argue that it is one of the best places to eat in BR.

Like someone said that corner is a death trap other than Marble Slab. There's a Walmart sized store in that parking lot that has been vacant for a decade, while 2 of the other 3 corners possess a booming Target and Albertsons. . The Rite Aid is struggling badly, while across the street Walgreens rakes the money in.

Marble Slab defying death's will and continually increasing my pants size.

Just looked up the location. Looks a little far out of the thick of things for a restaurant like that. Byronz has a more urban feel to it. How does the Mandeville location do? It's a top 3 restaurant in BR for me. I wish they had a Nola location.

I drive by every day and hadn't noticed the sign. We went twice for dinner and enjoyed it both times. I think my husband went for lunch one day. I guess we didn't support it enough!

Never did try The Elephant Room when it was there. Prior to that it had been Fazoli's, which I hated, but had friends who absolutely loved it.

Little China was near the Marble Slab. I was surprised when that shut down. Maybe that piece of real estate will improve as they fill in more between Kaliste Saloom and Verot School Rd? (Like there needs to be more traffic there.)

When we moved to our neighborhood, Albertsons and McDonald's were the only things built at that intersection. We thought we lived pretty far out.
