the grilled asparagus is second to none, the purple onion rings are really large and served crispy, not oily.

It really supplements Chimes East and Walk Ons well, when the other two are packed Portico will be a little less busy and more comfortable at the time if you're looking to get out and eat socially.

Plus the menu is a nice change from the other places in the area, even if it is average.

Excellent. I'm eating my 3rd ice cream sandwich of the evening. Thanks for asking.

Went with another couple, in spite of my warning the ladies both ordered shrimp & grit, the guys got burgers. My theory is that this is a Sysco cafe, they can handle burgers anything fancier is a risk.

Both ladies took bites and left the dishes less then half eaten, very bad. The burgers were nothing special.

The atmosphere is like eating in a muffler shop. We parked in the back, on the way to the car we passed the open kitchen door, all you could see were Sysco boxes.

I've only been once on a Friday night before game day and it was to sit at the bar and drink. We ordered a few different things. Like I said I liked the shrimp and grits. It was different but in a good way. I actually thought it was boudin balls are something else when they 1st brought them out. Also tried the onion rings and some pork sandwich thing, which were good. For a non BRer looking to grab some food and beers it worked out perfect for us.

North Louisiana based restaurant. What do you expect?
Now Pawwwwwl, the other day you implied that you would keep your Peepie lickin' lips closed about Nawf La. stuff cause you said you didn't want to be called out, remember? Now look what you've gone and done... I could smell and see Peepie as soon as you started lip flapping.. I'm truly disappointed in you Pawwwwwl, and so is Peepie's little pigs, your offspring.

I have about as much of a point in here as you do.

I've eaten at Portico Monroe plenty of times and it is good enough.

I've never eaten at the BR location.

seems like things tend to get watered down as they go "down there"...

the shrimp n grits appetizer is one of the most unique apps I have ever had, fried but not greasy grit balls stuffed with shrimp and topped with some type of mild cheese sauce.......
