Pravda column on gun control in America

SIAP

quote:

Americans never give up your guns

By Stanislav Mishin

These days, there are few things to admire about the socialist, bankrupt and culturally degenerating USA, but at least so far, one thing remains: the right to bear arms and use deadly force to defend one's self and possessions.

This will probably come as a total shock to most of my Western readers, but at one point, Russia was one of the most heavily armed societies on earth. This was, of course, when we were free under the Tsar. Weapons, from swords and spears to pistols, rifles and shotguns were everywhere, common items. People carried them concealed, they carried them holstered. Fighting knives were a prominent part of many traditional attires and those little tubes criss crossing on the costumes of Cossacks and various Caucasian peoples? Well those are bullet holders for rifles.

Various armies, such as the Poles, during the Times of Troubles, or Napoleon, or the Germans even as the Tsarist state collapsed under the weight of WW1 and Wall Street monies, found that holding Russian lands was much much harder than taking them and taking was no easy walk in the park but a blood bath all its own. In holding, one faced an extremely well armed and aggressive population Hell bent on exterminating or driving out the aggressor.

This well armed population was what allowed the various White factions to rise up, no matter how disorganized politically and militarily they were in 1918 and wage a savage civil war against the Reds. It should be noted that many of these armies were armed peasants, villagers, farmers and merchants, protecting their own. If it had not been for Washington's clandestine support of and for the Reds, history would have gone quite differently.

Moscow fell, for example, not from a lack of weapons to defend it, but from the lying guile of the Reds. Ten thousand Reds took Moscow and were opposed only by some few hundreds of officer cadets and their instructors. Even then the battle was fierce and losses high. However, in the city alone, at that time, lived over 30,000 military officers (both active and retired), all with their own issued weapons and ammunition, plus tens of thousands of other citizens who were armed. The Soviets promised to leave them all alone if they did not intervene. They did not and for that were asked afterwards to come register themselves and their weapons: where they were promptly shot.

Whole column

Interesting.

Be prepared for the ones to come in and say it could never happen here.

For the ones that say, this is America and it will never happen here, I say, look at history...

Ha. Even you see the problem with the logical progression of the article.

I've seen some idiotic posts on this board relating to guns and gun control.
This takes the cake.

If anyone actually believes this, then they have absolutely no grasp on reality and the actual issues at hand.

If you don't want political banter on this board, take the original post to the poli board.

no, you take the cake.. you say in another thread that you dont have extra money to buy ammo anyway, so why are you continuously flapping your lips about shite that you ain't gonna do anyway? Do you just want to debate, is that the only reason you come on this board? If the answer is yes,,, fine, lets debate, but to keep calling other people stupid in their thoughts or actions is getting old..

There are no logical disucssions on the poli board. You post something like this and all the leftist hacks clog the thread all up.

I'm not saying we aren't right wing hacks over here, but this is our board to discuss gun stuff amongst ourselves. If we want an argument with a bunch of progressives, we know wwhere to take it.

Yeah, there are people clogging up the threads and very rarely make any logical arguments.

They're jokers trying start crazy arguments to get people all up in arms.

Why do you think I'm over here when discussing gun control. At least it's heartfelt from the gun advocates.

First, ignorant and stupid are two very different things. I've never called anyone stupid...yet. You are right though, I have called people making ignorant statements ignorant.

I'm on this board to discuss fishing and hunting related issues.
Honestly, I'm sick of seeing ideological gun threads. I post in them because I despise absurd stereotyping. If you want to rant about gun control, go to the poli board. There are plenty of people waiting for that.

How about we get back to discussing the outdoors, what we all really care about?

ok,,, i amend my post to put ignorant instead of stupid... right, big difference..

You know, a long time ago in elementary school there was this thing about getting a "cooty" shot just in case that certain kid with cooties got close to you, or heaven forbid, touched you and gave you cooties... I have to ask, stewie, do you have cooties?

Awesome...this is so off the wall that I honestly don't even know how to answer it.

Congrats

If you don't like the board, I invite you to GTFO.

Secondly, you never addressed my original post, you started up your bitching at another poster's response. Therefore, you came to this thread looking to start bitching.

How about this, don't click on a link if it is obvious that it will get your panties in a wad. You will find your life will be much happier.

That's some simple logic right there.

He says he wants to get back to hunting and fishing threads, there are plenty of those to click on. Just don't clink on these. It's not like you don't know what we are going to be saying in there.
