No surprise with the Falcons at the bottom. I thought the Broncos would be lower with the horrible AFC West.

Saints are high because they played the mighty falcons 2x. You're welcome.

Saints are high because they played a 1st place schedule.

Falcons lucked out playing in a weak division (thank Roger for that), and that the 2nd place teams they played sucked arse this year (Detroit and Arizona).

They played 5 playoff teams, 4 on the road. I don't think any of the other playoff team had to do that.

NFL schedules are so random, for the most part. You have 1/8 of games dictated by how you finish, and most years that's virtually meaningless, this year was the exception in the AFC.

Denver for example played 6 ACF west, 4 AFC North (@Baltimore, @ Cinci), 4 NFC South (@Atlanta), and their selected matchups were last year's division winner @New England and Houston at home.

I guess in total you had 6 dogs in the AFC West, Cleveland, and Carolina. Everyone else was decent, but that's half your games against pretty bad teams.

Next year they play NFC East and AFC South, so you never know what you're going to get.

The Vikings played 7 playoff teams, 5 of which were played on the road.
